Top of the day to you chief, I am currently in the process of building a 3-bedroom bungalow and would like to know if it is important for me cast the DPC. The land is perfect and not water-logged, and I am getting different opinions, I would like to confirm from a professional.

The DPC is a building code requirement and is always included in building plans drawn by professionals, so, yes I recommend it, except where money is an issue and the land is firm and dry. I have seen people who didn't do a DPC and still lived in their houses without issues later on.

Please why do you have to spread the nylon doing the DPC, I was thinking the nylons on decking was to avoid wastage?
