BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!!
Banks have become thieves. On the 8th of March 2023, I decided to use my Zenith mobile app to purchase a three thousand naira worth of airtime and five thousand naira worth of Data Bundle. However, both transactions failed. From Figure 3, you will see that prior to the first transaction on Wednesday, 8th March, I had a balance of 1,882,391.11 naira. After both transactions, the right amount was deducted with correct balance. However, from figure 1 &2, you will see that only the final balance was printed out in the email, even after the first transaction of 3000 naira. Note that initially the history for this transactions were deleted on my mobile app. I guess they hoped that I would not find out. You can also see that they tried to blur out my balance information with the text on the second figure
So I went to the Bank on the 9th of March to make a complaint and I was assured that funds will be reverted within 7 days. Till date nothing has been done.
This is really terrible, the banks that should be a secure storage of funds have now become the thieves!!!
I would advise anyone with an account at Zenith Bank to withdraw their funds from there and if total withdrawal is not possible limit the amount of money to have saved up there. This can happen at any time to anybody. God forbid that this happens to all your savings when you are in dire need of cash. In addition, I have also been having very poor service from them. All of a sudden my debit card stopped functioning, there has also been many times when I wanted to make transfers from my mobile app but I wouldn’t be able to log on to the app.
Withdraw your money from Zenith Bank as soon as possible!!!!!

We learn everyday. Sending a mail with the details of the transaction is more effective than going to the bank branch. Reason is the technical team that handles such matters is not stationed in the branches. What happens in the branches is customer care representatives get your complaints and forward the complaints to the same technical team. And the forwarding takes hours or days, especially when you fill a hardcopy form.

So, going to the branch is an unnecessary stress.

'bro.. This is a small matter.. Stop going to banks to make complains.. Bank branches still send it to hq to treat.. So just do a mail.. Then follow up with a call via customer service. Then. Do inbox them on facebook.. Twitter and instagram.. Inbox only the real zenith.. And also call them out on their page too.. Then go and and buy hollandia and drink.. Lol.
I have had more than 10 failed transactions and got all resolved in less than 5days even at the peak of zenith bank wahala in Dec.. Jan and feb

Not only Zenith bank but other customers from other banks are all complaining. Just do as the above poster said. I do complain to them on Facebook, you just have to be patient

I was debited for a failed transaction in Roban Store few days ago. I sent a mail to the email address and got my money within 12 hours.

I did the same for First Bank about 3 times in February and got my money within 12 hours after sending each mail.

You exhibited your bad manners without waiting for me to provide the email address. If you are sane, explain how my comment defends Zenith Bank.

What I observed is that you only get refund if you send a complaint to them, if you don't, your money is gone forever, especially FIRSTBANK

I don relegate my Zenith bank account for long.
Na small fund dey there for small shopping.
All major funds transferred as I noticed their incompetence.
Time nor dey for wahala.

You are right. Same thing happened to me,i went to bank to complain that i was deducted for a failed transaction,two weeks now it hasnt been reversed. I had to chat up leo uba bank gave details of the transaction and was credited after some hours

God bless you a million times bro. I've been having the same issue for close to a week now. I just did as you said, sent them a mail and the receipts from my failed POS transaction 3 hours ago, and I just got all my money back just now, every single penny. So, a million thanks once again and God bless you immensely.

Oga, you have not tried something, and you are accusing someone giving you advice and quick solutions to your problem.
By the way, have you withdrawn or transferred all your money from the bank as you are telling others to do?
