fergie001:When we tell people that the Benue State governor has messed up the state, some people think otherwise. His rubber stamp house of assembly voted no to this bill with the help of his stooge of a governorship candidate (PDP), the Benue State house of assembly speaker, Mr Titus Uba. With the good people not minding their threats and intimidation, they will be retired tomorrow. 1 Like |

Well... Rather late than never.. Kudos to President Muhammadu Buhari....you are leaving this a bit late..but, thank you Mr President. Big well done to the 9th NASS members lead by Senator Ahmed Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila...you all did this together with PIA and Electoral Act 2022.. To those State Governors that bullied their State houses of assembly, preventing their legislators from passing the LG Autonomy...history will not be kind to you all... because, this would have ushered in some level of true federalism and devolution of power we have been yarning for. God bless Nigeria. 1 Like |

12 & 13 are the key, particularly 13. By now, each state should be generating, transmitting & distributing electricity itself, not relying on one stupid national grid that's epileptic. It's a long term investment. States like Lagos, Rivers, Oyo, Ogun, Kano, Kaduna should have no business with national grid. Where there's a will, there's a way. 1 Like |

For those attacking state that voted against LG autonomies is that they should first give state power to create as much LG as they want then fund meant for the state should be distributed directly from FG until then I don't know how local council will be funded. I support FINANCIAL AUTONOMIES to LG but must be done right. 1 Like |

Parachoko: If Jonathan has done this APC led by baba lie would have been the one blackmailing and discrediting everything. You forgot APC wouldn't attend the constitutional conference convoked by PDP. Their trade in arm was to discredit everything his government did, not matter how laudable. The good thing is that the same party has come to campaign for those government policies they once discredited. |
