I'm really pained about what happened in Lagos today.

Election that we will have won comfortably on a normal, they just had to taint the victory. I got to my polling units and saw alot of faces that didnt come out to vote in the Presidential election today already voting and I was happy. Saw people going from house to house calling people to come out to vote. Is that not how it should be. We were going to win that election very comfortably but then some people just decided to be unfortunate to prove a point and make a statement.

What best way to make a statement than the way Seyi Makinde made his statement in Oyo. Its well.

Una good night.
I heard kwam1 led some thugs too

There are people who are employed by government yet they're not doing the work expected of them, we have masons who will steal your building blocks and cement, carpenters who will steal your planks, bankers who will defraud banks and customers, civil servants who will inflate contracts and collect bribe, traders who will give you half-measure and defective goods; how can a country progress when majority are criminals and potential criminals?
There is no fear of God amongst the religious and the non-religious says the end justify the means.
We need a cultural reboot a nation under God where meritocracy and uprightness is the standard not this system where people are not bothered
How can a country develop when the majority are religious yet so criminal and wicked to their fellow humans with you as an example who support barbaric religious practices like Sharia?

I only pity any Christian, pagan, or freethinker unfortunate enough to encounter people like you in real life who promote all sorts of extreme religious beliefs and views.

People like you, who are ready to do just about anything for the supremacy of Islam (including killing innocent people for Allah), make living in this country so difficult and hellish.

The African with extreme religious views represents all that's wrong with blacks as a race, whether they follow any of the foreign religions or the local ones.

If they're a Muslim or Christian, their allegiance is mainly to Saudi or Israel, not Nigeria, and often condemn, demonize, and kill the local cultures and traditions to promote the foreign culture.

How can you develop as a people when your allegiance lies with a foreign country that you foolishly call your origin as a black man?

Such Africans — and there are millions of them — have been messed up at a deep level, psychologically and culturally.

The African traditionalist with extreme religious views or cultural beliefs has a backward mentality and is neck-deep in superstition and all sorts of barbaric practices that have no place in the modern world and should be abolished.

Religious people in Africa, who are also mean, wicked, and corrupt, make the continent stay stagnated and backward.

You and your fellow extremists are a big part of the problem.

You want to develop as a people yet everything about you is messed up: your concept of God is foreign, system of education, language, government are all foreign.

Every core aspect that makes a society functional is foreign and mostly imposed. Any society that's not intelligent enough to develop its own systems of religion, language, education, government but merely copies everything from its colonial masters and slave masters can't develop.

Keep on promoting the Arabic culture and expecting development as an African when your allegiance lies with Saudi and the Arab world.

Your dream to make Nigeria an Arab country and a nation under Allah practicing Islam will never come to fruition despite supporting a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket.

The slave is talking about "a nation under God". Which God if not the local god from Arabia, Allah?

You can continue lying to yourself about the Government forcing tribalism narratives on you, you can convince yourself you're different, but when you realize that a Central/Northern Cross River man cannot become a Dept President in UNIUYO, and that an Akwa Ibom man cannot become same in UNICAL, you'll realize that tribalism is more of a people thing than a so-called Govt ploy, this has been the practice since before I left UNICAL in 2006 and after I left. Go round the states and see how Nepotism/Tribalism is the order of the day. Those in sch preferred a Yoruba or Igbo man to those other tribes I mentioned, reminds me of those who prefer Fulani to another tribe or prefer Hausa to another tribe

Forget it. This county is wasted. grin

@A001 africans just can't get it right whether it's democracy, socialism or communism. There are dictatorships like china in africa, how are things faring in those countries?

Omo, na for oyibo to recolonize africa back oh grin I'm sure most people won't be against it grin
No colonial masters waste time today in recolonizing a country that's not independent in the real sense of it.

What the colonial masters do in modern times is to strengthen their hold on their former colonies using religion, aids and loans, and any other necessary tool.

Most Nigerians prefer the English or Arabic culture to the native cultures that they see as backward and savage. No need to recolonize such people because they're still slaves.

Maybe the future generations of Africans will be smarter and mentally stronger. The current generations are a lost cause.

States that have produced a total of 1m votes plus since 1999

Compare 2003 with 2023 how many states were churning out huge numbers until PVC came into existence

6 states in 1999
18 states in 2003
Not enough data released for 2007
15 states in 2011
9 states in 2015
7 states in 2019
5 states in 2023

This shows how reduced votes writing has become over the years

Votes are still not available for 2007😂😂😭.

But we had a winner 😂

Wike should be scared now. He has lost political power and if his boy Fubara loses this governorship ( something that is more likely) he will have no where to hide. Even Rivers will not be safe for him as Amaechi will come for his head.

Pitching battle against Obi after what transpired with Atiku and the PDP, it's game over for Wike.

How far cheesy

One LGA in the bag. Expect more

The last man standing won fair and square . It’s obvious his people wanted him to return for second term and he didn’t resort to voters suppression, intimidation and terror attacks to get his mandate for second term .

Kudos to Seyi Makinde . Posterity will be fair to him.

E clear!

And that was exactly what happened with Ortom, Ikpeazu and Ugwuanyi. Their people simply did not want them but you guys were blaming the loss on the G5.

I'm really happy for Makinde. What a way to make a statement.

I can’t speak for others , but my point has always been that those governors miscalculated aligning with Wike who is not on the ballot . There are other southern governors who also didn’t fancy Atiku’s candidacy but weren’t donning Aso ebi moving from Nigeria to abroad to have meetings to register their dissatisfaction. They made a show of being against Atiku’s candidature while their house was leaking .

Once again kudos to Seyi ,all I’ve heard from people who are from the state is good tidings under his administration . It’s also a good thing he buried some godfathers while doing it. That’s what we look forward to in the future from other governors too; so as to have a release of pressure on state funds .

Are you willing to place a bet on this? I'd supply you with actual names, Facebook accounts and exact details of people from other states who held and are holding key positions in Akwa Ibom and Cross River in both the state governments and various school SUGs.

Both the ones I knew and from contacts I can reach out to. smiley

The biggest of these is Darius, even though he wasn't part of the G5.

The guy was so disliked that in his senatorial bid he lost both his LGA and his own polling unit

Meanwhile PDP won the other 2 seats and 4 out of 7 or 8 rep seats, with APC taking 2 and NNPP and I think SDP taking one each. And none of the opposition seats are in his zone.

Every Taraban dislikes him.
