My Aunty married an Imo man, they reside in Aba. She's into selling of POP white cement. She doesn't use Lagos port, she uses Onne port.

She has never for one day used Lagos port and it's okay for her. Aba is very close to Onne, she has solved the issue of having to transport it from Lagos to Aba.

Use Onne seaport, leave Lagos alone. Aba, owerri and onitsha are closer to Onne.

Move your investments there slowly, it won't be easy but plan it, little by little and leave Lagos for Yoruba people. Make them chop am
If you like create 100 ports in alaigbo
Okoros must go to the city Lagos to prove to his village people that he has made it

I advice you to not go to Port Harcourt as Ikwerre people don't consider themselves igbos and will also be hostile to igbos very soon. Even if you want to, deal with Obigbo and etche axis.

If you want to be 100% safe, take your business to Aba. Aba is a major distribution hub that even serves port harcourt city. Well, it depends on the kind of business you want to do.

If it's real estate, then port harcourt, but if it requires, production, importation, exportation and sales, Aba is your best bet.
This friend of mine said he has gotten about two plots of land in Akwa ete after Aba that's in the boundary between Abia and Rivers....the price is ok as he said both won't be more than 12m...so I think it's ok considering the fact that it's in Abia and is in close proximity to PH and Aba.
Furthermore, alot of oil companies are there too so I will be going for inspection there within next week to confirm things myself

When last did you pass that Aba to PH. That road is an eyesore. Even buses spent hours because it’s not motor able any more.
Also remember that shipping to Onne add extra cost than Lagos ports. What the east should do is the 5 governors should come together and build a seaport in the East, this will take a long time but it will worth it at last l. But you and I know that’s impossible.
It's abia state, abia state is needed to wake up. That state is the key to unlocking the east.

The cost is worth it from port harcourt to avoid see finish. Port-Aba road cannot be so bad that goods won't get to Aba. It will get there.

See, I run an importation business of solar accessories. My warehouse is in LFZ, getting goods out of apapa or tincan is also hell. It's not like it's easy. In fact, I spend more per unit transporting my goods from apapa port to Ibeju Lekki than I spend on transporting them from Taiwan.

If it will take abia state government to fix that port-aba road, then let them don't wait for FG.

....

This is what I have been saying, if you must live and do business in another person's land, you must building your own home as a fall back base..

Chinese are all over the world doing business but they can hardly build industries outside their country, igbos should make the east their supply base, build your headquarters in the east and supply to other places from there...

The highest thing an Igbo man will do is after investing heavily outside their region they will go and build massive residential house in the east something that contribute absolutely nothing to the economy of the region..that's total nonsense!!..

I pray we get sense this time around...

It has to do with the promixity of the market. Your aunt was able to use Onne because it was close to Aba. Businessmen in Lagos markets like Tradefair, Alaba international etc cannot use Onne as they will have to transport the goods from Onne to Lagos which will require extra cost and waste time.

Moreover, not all goods can be taken to Onne. The Custom has made it mandatory that Pharmaceutical products must be brought into Nigeria through Lagos Seaports. Furthermore, there is the issue of security.

Onne is the den of kidnappers. Any business man or rich freight forwarder who operates from there is risking his life. Many shipping companies also does not berth at Onne due to the security issue. The pirates operating in the sea are even more than the criminals in the land.

Hence many ships destined for Onne Seaport usually end up at Lagos Seaports.

Thanks bro... please let's keep sensitizing our people on the need to evacuate.

This will avail the Yorubas the opportunity to build their dream city and also stop the "leave Lagos" rhetoric.

There's no place like home after all

I've started talking to a friend in Port Harcourt about getting a plot or two for me... before next week runs out I'll be going there to see how I can move my businesses to PH.

I'm also considering Aba if PH doesn't work.

Thanks to Yorubas.... we've learnt our lessons and we are making amends.

East or South here we come
....

Please don't fall from frying pan to fire, don't even think of investing in South south..

If you must invest please let it be in South east..

That's the challenge. I heard of this security issues too but my aunty has always used Onne.

And 2, Igbos in alaba or ladipo should just trade in Lagos but when it's time to invest in landed properties, they should not invest there for the sake of hostilities. It will be easier for you leave. They can take the properties in Lagos, they cannot take those in your home. Unless one is into real estate business, there is no need investing a lot in landed property in Lagos.

This pharmaceutical products you talk about, the largest pharmaceutical market is still in onitsha, the head bridge market, I don't know how they manage to do it.
My little bro is into sales of shoemaking materials in mushin market, most of their foreign products come from Ariaria in Aba while the local ones mostly come from Kano. I don't think that Aba people import those products via Lagos, it has to be via onne.

Na small small, make them stay back and start creating that market in the east.

You are only making comments base on the emotions of the moment.

Forget all the noise from the recent election, the igbos are very safe in Lagos. Business is about return. For instance , I have two plots of land in Awka and another plot in Surulere.

I am more eager to develop the plot in lagos because it will catch me more return. The money that I will make from the Lagos property in One year will be equivalent to what I will make in five years in Awka.

Imagine if my land is now in Lekki, Victoria Island, VGC or Ikoyi.

The igbos are not cowards. You don't expect us to run away from Lagos because some touts are afriad that we have taken Lagos from their boss.

Recently, the same Sanwo Olu evicted most of these touts from their inherited houses along badero in Lekki and sold the massive land to Obi Cubana.

Hence even the same leaders they are fighting for knows that they are nonetities. They also know that their online Urchins are nonetities.

The Government of Lagos will rather sacrifice all the touts in Lagos and other APC supporters than to loss a single Igbo investor in Lagos.

Hence forget the noise. There is actually no problem in Lagos.

No. No more investment in Lagos.

Citizenship is a social contract. We pay tax and you give us benefits of the tax.

What is the benefit of tax paid in Lagos? Is it security? Is it free healthcare?

Why should we pay tax to a government that sponsors thugs to harm us?

We cannot continue to enrich tulumbu and his thugs with our taxes.

Igbos must go back home.
