I used to think that ngwa with 7 lgas are the most populous in igboland but I just discovered that nsukka has 7 lgas and 80% of its inhabitants are indigenes except in nsukka city where up to 40% are indigenes.but in ngwa land,80% of people in aba are non indigenes and a large amount of people in osisioma and isialangwa are also settlers...next to them is the ezzas/izzis/mbaise/owerri

Nsukka
Ngwa

These four clans joined together are bigger, larger and greater than most States in Nigeria.

Ngwa has 7 LGAs (Ukwa excluded) and Is the largest Igbo tribe in population.

Aba Ngwa was proposed to be a State since 1976 but has been torpedoed mostly by stranger elements from Igbo sister's State moneybags

Research? From where? After consuming Erujeje and Igboya Bitters, you'll come online to type truckload of bullshit.

You should rather be seeking urgent medical attention instead of being a daft fellow with pride.

By estimate, Ngwa should be the largest.
Followed by Nsukka, Mbaise, Izzi, Ezza, Aro, Nnewi, Ikwo in that order
To the person above saying that Nsukka is originally igala.
What happened was that the Igbos living at border with other tribes were influenced by intermarriage, aculturation and cultural assimilation.
The effect is more among the Nsukkas, Kwales, Izzis, Ezzas, Afikpos, Ikweres where the Igalas, Idomas, Ekois, ijaws, kalabari, bini tribes got assimilated by the igbos.

While Nsukka might not be from Igala there is great possibilities of them having a little mix of Igala ancestors. Definitely, the larger stock originated from other Igboid territory but there is a slim possibilities of some having direct Igala ancestors who were later assimilated by the overwhelming Igbo aboriginals.

The truth is that it is impossible for a people to have a single ancestral root. People pushing this narrative are either supremacist or revisionist.

No such thing as Nsukka having Igala ancestors.
Infact it's the other way round.
Igala is an amalgam of Igbo( Which includes Nsukka), Yoruba, Hausa, Junkun and Okpoto.

Whatever so called Igala in Nsukka are actually from the Igbo part that made up Igala.

Northern Igboland have ties with Igala just like every other igbo group at the boundary have ties with their neighbors. The Igala ties is even stronger in Omanbala (northern part of Anambra state) than Nsukka

Aro should be the largest, there are Igbos of Aro descent in all 8 states of the Nigerian federation where Igbos are indigenously found, Rivers, Delta and Benue inclusive, apart from the 5 SE states. Even in Nnewi, Aro people helped Otolo Nnewi people in Nnewi fight battles against their brother clans such as Uruagu and Nnewichi and some settled there many centuries ago and intermarried.

Aro settlement is scattered all over Igboland but they are very small and can't even make one local government

The region referred to Nsukka is not a clan, you re.tards.
Nsukka is just a town inside Nsukka local government area of Enugu State which notably has more than two dozen other communities.
Even majority of the other communities within Nsukka local government have zero historical connection with the town known as Nsukka, talk more of distant communities in different local government areas like Enugu Ezike, Ibagwa aka, Ubollo, Iheakpu, and so on --- all of which are erroneously referred to as Nsukka.

The Okpe and Isoko had ancestors from other sub-Urhobo group and vise Versal. Surprisingly, everyone is jumping on the Bini migratory origin whereas that's not really the case.

@bolded Sorry about, Your man was probably betrayed. Results from Isokos was shocking. But this is politics. You loose some, you gain some.

Enugu North which is referred to as Nsukka is not a clan. An Enugu Ezike person like me has no generational connection with a person from the town known as Nsukka, likewise a person from Ọba in Udenu LGA. Our dialects just closely resemble, and I think that's the root of the ignorance of outsiders who think we're related.

The Orogun and Aboh people share great link. According the oral history, the ancestors of Orogun once resided in Aboh before moving to their present location.

I would easily believe that Orogun was an hybrid that got overwhelmed by their Urhobo link.
