Oh! So this did not happen as well ?

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/02/explosions-shatter-homes-businesses-of-atikus-supporters-in-rivers-2/amp

The state is now largely peaceful unlike before. Word on the street is even that this is the most peaceful election we have had. That is not to say that there are no criminals here and there.

Infact, I have personally witnessed a kidnapping incidence along transamadi road in broad day light. Only one vehicle separated me from that of the man who was kidnapped.

They pointed the gun at him, he opened the door, they put him in their own vehicle and left his vehicle right there in the middle of the road with the door open.

This and a few others are isolated cases. They don't tell the actual story

States like Anambra where so many businessmen who run businesses in which they make millions as profit steadily , the governor has no business crying on social media about having low collections From taxes.

The government needs to mandate it for any business owner to present their valid tax clearance certificate for them to obtain a trade/business permit before they can be allowed to continue doing business in a new financial year .The trade/business permit should be issued to business who have provided their tax clearance certificates having paid taxes due to them as payers in the informal sector . A tax task force can even be set up to create job opportunities as well as enforce this . (All of this I’m suggesting without knowing what exactly obtains in Anambra state as we speak ) .

If the government is expecting to tax remittances in billions from the formal sector like what obtains in Lagos , then the governor and the state government just dey play . Nigerians generally won’t pay tax of their own volition except u mandate it for them and u enforce the laws backing the tax collection . Nigerians have been protesting against taxation since 1920’s , that should tell us something .

I have said at different times that the SE is what libertarianism really looks like. When you have numerous billionaires and local businesses that don't pay tax so the state infrastructure goes to hell and no one cares.

Oyibos can lie to themselves about libertarianism because there is already infrastructure, and different services in place.

This is how libertanism really plays out.

again propaganda nobody threw anything ,me wey dey rivers and you wey dey another state who suppose get info pass , nothing like that happened

It's not propaganda. Rivers State has a deep-rooted culture of violence. Once you access the state from Onne or Oyingbo, you'd be greeted with slangs used by clandestine groups.
Violence or the threat of it is celebrated in every part too. Every single part.

Up until 2015 or 2016, it was an anomaly to find a teenage boy who either hasn't been initiated into these devious groups, affiliated to them, or posturing as one. Even till date. They don't hide - they brag about it. From Obigbo to Eleme to Abua to D-Line and on to Emuoha and beyond, violence, vices, and thuggery are woven into the social lifestyles of the everyday person.

No kind of violence or vice the mind can conjure is impossible in Rivers State.

Itsrm:

Violence, isolated, and Rivers State do not match. There's at least one case of this in Mile 1, Port Harcourt every other month. And this is just a small part of PHALGA.
Kidnappings are happening every single day in Rivers State. It's become so commonplace, the local media seem to ignore it.

PRESS RELEASE

DSS CONFIRMS PLOT FOR INTERIM GOVERNMENT BY MISGUIDED POLITICAL ACTORS

The Department of State Services (DSS) has identified some key players in the plot for an Interim Government in Nigeria. The Service considers the plot, being pursued by these entrenched interests, as not only an aberration but a mischievous way to set aside the constitution and undermine civil rule as well as plunge the country into an avoidable crisis. The illegality is totally unacceptable in a democracy and to the peace loving Nigerians.

This is even more so that the machination is taking place after the peaceful conduct of the elections in most parts of the country. The planners, in their many meetings, have weighed various options, which include, among others, to sponsor endless violent mass protests in major cities to warrant a declaration of State of Emergency. Another is to obtain frivolous court injunctions to forestall the inauguration of new executive administrations and legislative houses at the Federal and State levels.

The DSS supports the President and Commander-in-Chief in his avowed commitment to a hitch-free handover and will assiduously work in this direction. It also supports the Presidential Transition Council and such other related bodies in the States. It will collaborate with them and sister security and law enforcement agencies to ensure seamless inaugurations come 29th May, 2023.

Consequently, the Service strongly warns those organising to thwart democracy in the country to retract from their devious schemes and orchestrations. Stakeholders, notably judicial authorities, media and the Civil Society, are enjoined to be watchful and cautious to avoid being used as instruments to subvert peace and stability of the nation.

While its monitoring continues, the DSS will not hesitate to take decisive and necessary legal steps against these misguided elements to frustrate their obnoxious intentions.

Who will form interim government? Is it not insider wey dey government

Datti-Baba Ahmed is literally saying here front 27:00 that the Tinubu government must never be sworn in, and that if its considered careless or reckless talk he doesn't care...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULq2AByRB4E

Here at 4.24, Datti says to Buhari, "Mr President, do not organise that handover, CJN dont swear him in"

So if Buhari doesn't handover to Tinubu, what is Datti asking for?

Like bruh. That's clearly some inflammatory talk at the end of a bitterly contested election. Are you surprised that the DSS are issuing a statement on such comments? What does that have to do with APC propaganda?

This is not true. I have bolt drivers who are on the road 12-15 hours everyday moving from one place to another.

My work also involves a lot of movement here and there. If the frequency is as high as you paint it, I certainly will know about it.

You don't have to believe me, ask 5-10 people who reside in the state to tell you what they think about the state as regards crime, insecurity and violence.

Again, I'm not saying these things don't happen but they are insignificant.

From Biafra park down to Lagos park at Onisha, which is less down 20 mints drive, I met Agberos at 5 different street junctions. I parted with not less than N900. Each Agbero joint, they did not take less than N200, just 1 OF THE joints i gave N100. The Agberos over there, they were not ready to listen to you. Before you say jack, your goods are already taking out of the keke.

The headquarter of Agberos is in Anambra state.

Man, let's even focus on PHALGA which is the capital of Rivers. Can you beat your chest that you can walk around Mile 1 unscathed by 9PM? Let's not even go into Ogbunabali.

Do I come across like someone who doesn't know how Rivers State works or doesn't know just about every nook and cranny there is? Asides living and working there for years, you'd be surprised how many times a month I have to pop into Rivers (Port Harcourt especially).

Abonema, Degema and the likes have kidnappings, shootouts, and killings EVERY SINGLE DAY! Everyday.

Why won't I walk in Mile 1 by 9PM with solar street lights everywhere from Mile 1 down to UST roundabout? That's even ignoring the fact that there are two major police stations on that stretch.

How do people who work in filing stations, eateries and offices who close late go to their houses? You think they book bolt? Are you saying they are all robbed or kidnapped?

The fact that the state or to be specific PHC city is largely peaceful is not even up for debate. Again, you don't have to believe me. Ask people who live here.

You'd be robbed in front of those police stations right under that bridge and nothing would happen. Those boys and the police are in collusion.

The issue was about Rivers State but you zeroed in on PHC which is essentially PHALGA and, say, Obio Akpor LGA; well, parts of Obio Akpor. Even at that, PHC is violent still. You want me to get into what happens at Rumuola which is in the centre of the city itself?

Other LGAs? Etche? Onne? Ogoni (Ogoni youths rob in broad day light on the Eleme - Ikot Abasi - Eket federal road). Broad day light. Try denying this.
Abonemma? Degema? Need I go on?

I figured you'd say this. If you had stated where you resided, I'd have stated where I resided in the city, where I worked and specific places I sort of go to when I visit the city (which is frequently).

Even the CarniRiv during Amaechi's time in December was always punctuated by violence. Get caught up in that stadium by past 7PM and it's you and you alone. But I won't push it.
