Upon seeing their post, I initially thought that she was a student of the school who was about to take their exam. I questioned why someone would enroll in a sectarian school if they knew they could not comply with the rules. However, after realizing it was a JAMB mock exam, I concluded that the individuals were not only mistaken but also bullies. In my opinion, if it were a Muslim lecturer from another university taking a professional exam at the center, would they ask her to remove her hijab? Or if a politician's wife visited the university, would they ask her to remove her hijab? Or if some Muslim students came to compete with other school students at Covenant University as the center for the competition, would they ask the students wearing hijabs to remove them? This girl is a visitor, not a student of the school. She is a JAMB student who follows the rules set by JAMB. I was taken aback by the comments I saw on the post's front page and it made me wonder if these people were aware that the girl was a visitor taking the JAMB exam and not a student of the school.
Or there is something the media is not reporting? this can't be the complete story .

There's nothing wrong with stopping students wearing hijab to write the exam. Apart from the fact that it's against the school's rules, the extra clothing can be used for examination malpractice.

Learn how to be objective in what you do or say. She knows that she's going to a Christian school to write the exam.

Afterall, even on Nairaland, you must agree to certain terms before you can be allowed to comment on Islamic threads. So, anyhow willing to comment should do the needful without complaining.

The school is wrong. If she was a student or prospective student, then they will be right because Convenant is a religious school and every student/prospective student should be aware of that.

But she is nota student/prospect. Instead, she's writing a mock exam and the school registered and is functioning as a Jamb Exam center. The school is offering a service to Jamb and is being paid for it.

Unless Convenant had an agreement with Jamb not to allow students in hijab to write the exam, then they're wrong.

Your statement will hold if she was a student or prospective student (writing Post-Jamb). She is writing Jamb and in this case, the school is being used as a Jamb exam center.

The school applied and registered with Jamb to be a Jamb center. And unless it had an agreement with Jamb to not allow certain kinds of students, then this is illegal.

Did you read the thread at all? She is not a student or prospective student. She went for Jamb Mock Exam.

1. Convenant University registered with Jamb to be used as a Jamb Exam center.

2. Convenant University is being paid by Jamb to be used as a Jamb center.

3. Convenant University does not have any special arrangement with Jamb that authorises it to accept or refuse students.

4. Lastly, the student did not choose the center. Jamb assigned it to her.

What happened? Have you run out of weak arguments? How many students are caught keeping expo in their hijabs? The majority keep them in their pockets, shoes, socks and all. So why justify the removal of her hijab because she may have expo in them?
