i guys, my car Toyota Camry 04 V4 , My issue is that the car do over heat when I speed from 80 upwards and whenever I ON AC, but when am in stand still traffic even for two hours, it won't over heat but once I speed off , the temperature will be raising and if I slow down it will also be going down.

This also happens when I ON my AC. The engine sound normal.

Just the over heat when I speed from 80km and when I ON my AC. The temperature will increase..

When I open bonnet to check, water will be boiling at the water reserve ( asin the water from radiator will be going back to water reserve and it will be boiling )

Thank you. You're correct, I found a cheap one in good condition. Although, I care more about if the parts are readily available at all, and I can easily find mechanics in the south east knowledgeable about the car.

I don't think the engine in those vehicles are complicated, your avg Joe can fix any issues as long as parts are available.

Now availability of parts is the game changer, american vehicles aren't that common but probably you can source for parts in largest spare part mkt in the east if not available lagos should suffice if you can afford cost of waybill when you find a reliable part seller

Good day guru in the house, my highlander 2005 steering rank was leaked but it's soft and working fine,I take it to power steering mechanic to repair steering rank but to my surprise the power steering pump didn't pump again and steering is stiff then he told me I have to buy steering pump and I did he fix it steering still stiff,he return the pump and bring another one he fix it still stiff,I don't know what to do,I have been going to his office over 4days now

Replace your steering rack with a new one.
Your mechanic as messed up your rack when repairing it.
Your pump is never the problem.

I'm not a mechanic o, awaits more advice from the guru's.

Good morning engineers in the house pls I need you input on this my car issue, the car is Honda Civic 06 (Asia) initially the car jumped timing and eventually 4 valve was bent cos it refused to start and I tried it for 2 days before we discovered it was timing issue. We opened the cylinder head and replaced the bent valve the car stars now but number one cylinder misfires I switched both the coil and spark plug to another cylinder but number one still misfires but it drives fine even with ac on it doesn't stall but while on idle (parked) if I rev it it revs and the rpm goes below 1 and stalls pls what could be the problem and possible solution pls.

Pls help a brother my mechanic said it will normalize it's self and I'm not too cool with that.

I recently changed my Corolla auto gearbox and I am noticing that whenever I engage the gear on reverse the car vibrates and makes cracking noise. Please what is the issue and how can it be rectified? Thanks in anticipation of a solution from the experts.

The valve on number 1 cylinder is not closing or opening properly.
Your cylinder might also be cracked
Or it could be a misaligned top cylinder gasket.
You would need to run a compression test on that cylinder to confirm if it holds enough pressure.
The fix would be
a. To "grind the affected valve and port" (your "turner" should know what to do) or replace valve.
b. Inspect the cylinder for cracks.
c. Inspect and replace top cylinder gasket.

Remote diagnosis would be difficult. Ask your technician to physically inspect the transmission and scan for transmission related codes.

Change your steering rack

when i first my car my steering will soft but stiff again after 10mins of driving , any solution to this

Check if the reservoir is dirty. Change and flush the system if dirty.
Also check to see if the return line goes behind the radiator for proper cooling as overheating is known to cause it.
Lastly check your pump as a failing pump will not pump a thinner oil viscosity (especially when oil is hot).

Thanks a lot I'm just getting this now the car now works well now after few kilometers drive the missfiring stops .

There's compression leak in that cylinder, were the new valves grinded and tested for leaks after fitting. Your mechanic might have your engine opened up again
