With the heat of the election season tempering down, and the attempt by APC to paint igbos as ipob, it is important to draw a clear distinction...a large chunk of igbos despise ipob , yes we all have a soft spot for the Biafran dream and get emotional about the events of the civil war, but IPOB does not represent igbos and our agenda in the Nigerian union

Some elites who have called for the release of mnk and some highly rated people who has sang the praises of MNK continues to blur the line regarding the support igbos have for ipob..
Ipob support skyrocketed among igbos solely because of the Herdsmen issue, even as anti-ipob igbo, seeing them pick up arms against the herdsmen was something difficult to disagree with the action...

Ipob as an organization is a disgrace and a stain to the Igbo nation.. there is no strategic plan, no coordination, the use of massive misinformation is so pathetic..
It is a big shame to igbos to have allowed this cancer to fester in the first place..

IPOB as a Cancer

Ipob as an organization trying to force tru secession without gaining political control of the region is so foolish, where does that happen? You did not try to influence politics in the region and u want to jump to fight the state...

Formation of BSS which led to operation python dance was one of the most foolish decisions by ipob, how can you form a security apparatus in a sovereign state and expect the government to turn a blind eye...

Telling Igbos to boycott elections in a democratic system is so stupid, the only leverage of power in a democracy is tru the ballot, by telling ur people to abstain from voting, u weaken them further...

Making the movement pro- Jewish was another stupid decision, yes religion is important to control your followers, but trying to introduce another religion in a homogeneous region is so crazy, while u know the people who hold power in the country are sunni Muslims with strong anti-isreal sentiment

IPOB as a Cancer

The representatives of the group are also pathetic, people with poor education and grasp of strategic politicking..look at their influencers, such a shame to an educated igbo nation..
Look at simon ekpa's Twitter and u will shed tears as an Igbo man,

The massive use of misinformation is also pathetic, the members are lied to and brainwashed, the rely on propaganda to promote baseless theories and fake news..

With such low quality people running the organization via propaganda, it is the reason u have statement like this
"Let them give us Biafra"
"Let them give us referendum"
Who in their right sense will let a portion of the state secede because the asked for it, it cannot happen anywhere , nobody will give u Biafra, nobody will give you referendum, you have to fight and plan for it, you can obviously not fight because a war is meaningless endeavor at this time...
Rather than plan how to strategically control the region, improve its economy and have a long term plan for statehood, the organization is destroying the region and reputation of the Igbo nation

Ipob as a Cancer

The formation of ESN and how it was run also showed how the leaders of the organization lack wisdom...
Yes there was the herdsmen threat, but how do u set up a security wing as a proscribed organisation and show it off on social media, all your attacks on ur targets are broadcasted on the media..
Why also set up camps with people in large numbers, thereby making u vulnerable to raids by the state...and when you arm a large group of people in camps, it becomes harder to control and fund, hence we see why how and why the group lost control and splintered..

You obviously knew the government will respond, yet u set up camps and broadcast ur activities on the media..and afterwards u started attacking state facilities...

Common sense would have told you that when u attack and burn a police station, u are creating a security vacuum which u cannot fill, and then criminals will take advantage of that vacuum, thereby turning public opinion against you.. common sense..

It is time for igbos to take a stand against Ipob, yes there are lots if issues facing the igbos in Nigeria, but we cannot afford to have ipob as the face of igbos in Nigeria, we have more educated people who can plan and represent us .we are better than this...we cannot afford to destroy our region in the name of secession which is not obtainable at this point...
We all turned a blind eye when ESN was formed, but enough is a enough, we can still work our way in this union, as long as there is democracy, we can plan little by little, we must hold our leaders accountable, we must say no to Ipob and secessionism at this time... statehood can come in the future but it is not possible now ..
Our region was once the most peaceful and stable in the country, we must bring back that stability so that the economy can thrive again..

Another Error By ipob is by including all parts of the SS region as Biafra, how shallow is this, with the events of the civil war, a lot of areas in the south South were happy to be liberated by the Nigerian army, we igbos are yet to make a formal apology to these people and yet u want to force them into Biafra now, without any apology and alliance, without any plan to project soft power and people to people communication and relationship...
How does this ipob people think?

SS hate Ibos more than Fulani or Yoruba. Even the tine isolated Ibos in the SS do not want to be so identified. Biafra is SE.

this kind of mindset is so pathetic, u want to fight war with what in 2023...the Nigerian state is way more equiped than it was in in 1967, with the abundance of much needed resources in Nigeria, getting international allies will be a cakewalk for Nigeria, which would mean more supply of arms to Abuja, how then do u want to wage a war , and now you want to wage war with yorubas who now control federal authority, stop overestimating igbo prowess to wage war again, we simply cannot do so, we cannot wage war without the South South, we cannot wage war without Cameroon as allies, and remember Cameroon is clamping down on secessionist as well so they would not risk the ire of Abuja to support you. Be realistic, igbos cannot fight any war , war is fought today with alliances, with constant flow of weapons and logistics, we have neither of these, open your eyes

Igbos having problems outside is as a result of massive migration, with massive migration for economic reasons ,this leads to people engaging in criminality and tarnishing the image of the igbo nation, for every one igbo criminal, there are dozens of hardworking igbos going about their business legitimately, paying their tax and obeying the law...
The issue with yorubas is a psychological issue, when demography of an area changes due to massive migration, there is bound to be friction, there are no complaints of igbos in other parts of the SW because our population there is negligible...
It is important that yorubas understand the importance of the huge population in lagos and its dividends to the economy of Lagos state, instead of allowing politicians to use this as an election tool to stir emotions and win votes, why not the yorubas in Lagos state try to lobby for some constitutional amendment to prevent other ethnic nationalities from voting ,
Nigeria is a land of indeginous people, if migration changes demography and the immigrants become a political force, it will create friction, a certain ethnic group in this country has used this loophole to dominate areas they are not from...
We must address this issue from a legislative point of view to prevent these unnecessary friction...
Yoruba and Igbo friction is the most stupid thing in Nigeria, the two ethnicities share so much friendship and have Similar world view, very educated, ambitious and hardworking...but unable to work together for the benefit of the country...i believe in the new generation to right this wrong

yes we have to hold them accountable, but with politicians able to manipulate people and create divisions, it makes this accountability harder
