Yes we are on a budget, my mum had also mentioned Ijebu too we were just thinking of transport costs.

Perhaps for the prices it's a bit on the high side. My side at ojodu berger lagos we sell @ 2x4 for 850, 2x3 for 650, nail 11,000 per bag.

And for the number of of woods quote I think it's fair enough for the size you gave.

It will be somehow difficult to say whether the prices are high becos your location is unknown. Location atimes affect the price of materials . Also bear it mind that the rate you bought it last year will be different from this year.

Sure that's refer and at least you should av gave the client assurance that imranroofing will surely deliver
So that should not be an issue and sometym if we are working around that area we use the opportunity to take roofing measurement without tfare..

This discussion here is a thing of human conscience and nature.
There are clients one will meet, just by honouring their invitation they appreciate and treat you like you guys have known for ages.
On the older hand, there are ones that by default are stingy.

Some are so used to taking advantage of people around them that they think it’s normal behaviour.

I would always pay for transportation and stipend if I ask someone to travel down to give me a quote. That way if I do not use him at least he is not out of pocket. We all know how Nigeria is and decide as an individual how we choose to contribute to the hardship or provide some relieve. It’s the character factor.

I had suspected the bolded too.

As for the prices, I didn't really expect the carpenter to give the exact current prices, we intend going to price the woods and every other thing first personally. we just wanted to be sure of the exact type of good wood to price and then we can pay someone who recognizes wood a token to go with us for the buying though it might still be him eventually.


The other quote we got was almost double no of woods even after I had told him we don't want kilimanjaro roof.

You came to my workshop to confirm my address. You paid me and I did the Panels and had delivered to the Site. On getting to your site. Was able to install 2 doors out of the 5 doors. But later removed 1 of the Due to bad Frames I advice you call the Bricklayer to come fix the frame before I could fix the remaining 4 doors. But instead you kept on calling and threatening me to come and do the frame ammendment.

We later understand ourselves because I called and chatted to remind you that ammendments of frames was not part of my work.

Then agreed to come after the Cash Crisis. To come and Fix the remaining doors.


Are you Blaming me for the Bad Frames or Blaiming me because I didn't deliver the doors as promised.


I have worked for People we only spoke on phone. And can attest to it in this group.

Yours was just misunderstanding and kept threatening me.

I have a Busy schedule now I will create time to come and install it.

My Worries now is if I come and the frames are not fixed. What now Happens ?

Clients and artisan get levels. The amount being debated may not even matter to some clients or artisans but in whatever strata you find yourself, just understand that life comes with some unwritten rules. Kindness, consideration and empathy should be applied appropriate as we deal with our fellow humans.

A lot of clients have gotten information given to them here free of charge by good spirited individuals. Nobody charged them. Some ended up getting jobs because this singular kindnesses.

Standard and quality comes at a slight cost.
Don't hang your bag where your hand no reach.

The lagos man might not include Tfare to his cost but if you i n Kaduna is willing to do a job In Lagos, you should be ready to lower your cost to accommodate tfare if not what's the point?
