Supersymetry:
You are contradicting yourself,
The problem with Nigeria is pure lack of proper understanding, shallow mentality and copy copy altitude.
Copying without thinking, you mention developed countries, do we have the same problem with them, of course no, then why do we copy them at all cost, copy at the cost of destroying our society, the result is that lectures have become demigods, sexual exploitation, empty headed graduate, electrical engineers that doesn't have the required electrical knowledge, civil engineers that are substandard, substandard doctors, chemical engineer that doesn't know how to synthesize simple chemicals the reason we import people from outside to do everything standard, the list goes on and on.
Eg Nigeria society of engineers can get our iron and steel industry working, something that other people did thousands or hundreds of years ago, things they did even in Nigeria without school certificate though on a small scale, now lost the ability with certificate.
Not quite @ contradicting myself.

Someone opined that education is beyond being in a classroom, to which I agree.

However, I am making a case for PhD as the face of research in academic learning which when properly exploited becomes the engine room that drives technology and development.

Just like you mentioned, NSE can get our iron industries working, but we can't go global without researched processes as seen in developed worlds.

You are allowed to copy what works, it isn't wrong.

I agree that most PhD holders in Nigeria are only paper driven and in it for the title, but if we truly decide to apply the knowledge from that plane of learning in its full reality, then we would experience astronomical growth in every sector of our nation.

Congrats

I need advice please.

Are Jiji premium paid ads worth it?

If No, what are other better places to advertise gadgets like phones, laptops, cars?.

Always try the FREE Ads first.
By the time Jiji starts calling you up about making an upgrade to keep your Ads up? Then you can consider going for the premium paid ads. Or not.

But before the time Jiji starts calling?
...when you use the Free ads
You'll always get calls from prospective buyers

Going to school and learning a skill are not mutually exclusive.

And certificate is not "nothing" in Nigeria, or in any other place.

Go to all the major companies in the country and all government institutions, see the people working there...how did they get there? By having certificates. Look at successful professionals globally, how did they make it? At some point in their lives, they had to go to school. How about entrepreneurs? You think them no dey go school? The MBA people dey get dey use run their businesses, na where e dey come from? And know that going to school is not all about getting certificates. Being educated offers way more than your certificate. Education influences your personality, your character, your moral standing, and your decision-making. All of these put together opens doors for you.

School no be scam. The doctors you run to when your health is failing went to school. The teachers that train your children went to school. A good percentage of the civilization you are enjoying is a product of people's research works...scholars, I mean. School is not scam, not in anyway.

One can go to school and still learn a skill. For some, going to school teaches them skills. A heart surgeon is a skilled worker. He got that skill from going to school.

Funny thing is, most of the people saying school na scam fit be graduates themselves. You internet users, be not deceived! Don't make life choices from the things you read online. Don't let someone that has gotten some education for himself stop you from going to school. Don't let a married man deceive you that marriage na scam. Be wise, observe things from your immediate environment. Even in instances where people fail, be smart enough to decide if they failed because they weren't efficient enough or because the system na scam. Make person wey no dey studious for school come graduate with a third class no go deceive you say school na scam because he's unable to secure a decent job.

I don't get why people study Anatomy though. Not like you qualify to work as a doctor, and mbbs students literally learn, if not all of their course content. Looks like a waste of time to me.
MBBS students do not learn all of the course contents of Anatomy (or other basic medical sciences). They only learn the basic knowledge needed to advance their training.

Different strokes for different folks. Most billionaires you see in the world today were school drop outs. Success in life is not dependent on University qualification, neither is it a yardstick for intelligence.

The government under the world order, created eduction to produce army of workers to work for them, their whole life for money, while the Government control the money with few business elites.
Note: The school system does not teach you how to make money, but how to work for money, which all go back to taxes and bills grin grin

1. Your assertion that most billionaires are school dropouts is wrong. According to Forbes, about 84% of the top 400 wealthiest people in the USA have at least bachelor's degrees - or higher degrees (https://www.forbes.com/sites/denizcam/2017/10/18/doctorate-degree-or-dropout-how-much-education-it-takes-to-become-a-billionaire/?sh=156aa797b044). Even Jeff Bezos went to school.

2. Saying that success is not dependent on university qualification is only partially true. People tend to go to school without applying themselves. If you go to school and APPLY YOURSELF, get a good grasp of the theoretical and practical skills in your field plus a good understanding of the mechanisms that control your profession in the labour market, you are on your way to success already...a few steps ahead, as a matter of fact.

3. Saying that government created education to produce workers to work for them is another false assumption, I'm afraid. You don't go to school for the government - or for anyone. You get educated for yourself. The knowledge is for you. Whether Mr. A is educated or not, he'd still pay tax and bills. Is there any uneducated person that doesn't pay tax? And the tax is NOT for the government. It's for everyone. Tax and bills are needed to run a society. Look at successful nations, they pay tax and their taxation system is well regulated. Good healthcare, good roads, security are all dependent on taxation. Some countries may not impose income tax on their citizens, but somehow, their citizens get to pay, one way or the other.

Again, education is very, very important. It's not a scam, it has never been.
