Recently Dr.(Mrs) Ify Rhode-Vivour , the wife of the Labour Party Gubernatorial Candidate in the just concluded Lagos State Election has had her personality pulverised by Tinubu e-warriors because of an innocuous tweet she made condemning ethnic bigots.

The rapacious e-Batists did not stopped at that, they went along and dragged her father’s storied career in the service of Nigeria into the mud.

Dr. Ify GRV is a multiple award winning scholarly daughter of Brigadier General Augustine Aniebo who rose from the ashes of a defeated Biafran Army to become a One-Star General in the Nigeria Army. The revered Gen. was actually one of the few Biafran Officers that were re-integrated into the Nigeria Army due to their brilliance and performance both in the Nigeria army as well as their performance in the Biafran Army as officers.

In military tradition worldwide, officers are respected even by opposing forces due to their professionalism and exploits in the battle field as exemplified by the current exploits of Colonel General Skyrisky who commanded the Eastern forces that retook Kharkiv region from Russians. General Skyrisky is highly regarded in Russian top military circles including the notorious Mr. ‎Yevgeny Prigozhin the Wagner PMC boss for withholding Russian military offensive in the East of Ukraine battle field.

Coming back home, General Aniebo exploits and brilliance earned him a place in the Nigeria military where he rose to command many elite units of the Nigeria Army, Taught in specialised Military institutions and rose to become military administrator in Borno and Kogi during the government of Abacha and Gen. Abdulsalami respectively and retired as a One star general of Nigeria Army.

On posting him to Kogi during Abdulsalami short reign, he was asked just as other MILADs at that time to concentrate only in maintaining security and ensuring smooth transition and handover. Even at that, he found time to build government workers offices which was named after him.

It should be noted that Kogi state was already in serious debt after Gov. Prince Abubakar Audu first foray when he embarked on unsustainable mega projects like the abandoned Lokoja water projects, roads, housing scheme and reconstruction of Lugard House(Kogi State Government House) before he was kicked out. Other MiLADS including Colonel B. L. Afakirya from Borno State who handed over to then Col Aniebo just during the Abdusalami transition could not sustain the projects especially the water scheme and the state debt profile without requisite IGR as the state was just a civil servant state.

Gen. Aniebo stint in Kogi was only nine(9) months with most spent on shepherding the elections and transition. With Audu history of public embezzlement, Col. Aniebo was clearly not in support of him as the APP candidate but rather supported albeit not too clandestinely his opponent in PDP.

It was inevitable that when Chief eventually won he had problems with Col. Aniebo who detested him and left the state without handing over to him.
In his desperation to disgrace the amiable general, Chief Audu constituted a kangaroo quasi-judicial commission with the aim of disgracing him. The General never honoured the committee invitation and true to type, the committee them returned a pre-determined verdict but never went to court to prosecute the case.

How do someone be the accuser, the prosecutor as well as the judge in his own case. ? Why did he not indict Col. Afakaiya and Col. Omerua who spent much more time awarding contracts than the man that came purely to handle transition?

General Aniebo was in Borno, Abacha’s ancestral home as Governor almost through the duration of Abacha’s regime but there was no record from Borno people of his misdemeanor or embezzlement.

We should be circumspect in our discussion! otherwise people will not take us serious!!

Tinubu foot soldiers have been vehement in defending Tinubu who even forfeited almost half a million dollars to the US federal court in Chicago Illinois but are quick to accuse an honourable man who diligent served his fatherland and was never convicted by any court of law of being corrupt throughout his career and even after retirement.

The General only sin is that he happened to be GRV father-in-law, I believe!

I am not surprised at the IQ level of an average Tinubu supporter. No talks about their principal who cornered all the resources of Lagos and have consistently been raping the IGR with virtually nothing to show for such humongous amount till today.

They are still being worshipping Tinubu with all his inadequacies but are hanging on a rehashed and discredited quasi-judicial commission hand selected by a corrupt Gov. Audu government who looted Kogi dry to accused such an illustrious Nigerian who believed on his own conviction to fight in the Biafran cause.

The General was too good and well trusted that the Nigeria Army recalled him at the end of the war and went along to make him a MILAD in two important Northern States.

My quest remains, What is all these short fuse and misinformation from Tinubu foot soldiers all about?

Only Time will tell !!

I am truly disappointed. All you wrote up there were lame and empty. He retired as Brig. Gen. not as a General. Secondly, you never did as little as present evidence to counter all the official documents showing that he was indicted of stealing Kogi funds and was actually personally reported to Gen. Obasanjo (rtd) by late Kogi Gov Audu. smh

Brigadier General is a junior general with a red neck. You can shorten his rank as a General. Go verify

The then Col. Aniebo was a non-nonsense man and never supported Prince Audu who massively cornered Kogi people wealth in 1992 before the forth republic as well as later foray in politics. Col Aniebo never wanted him to come back as governor to finished off where he started.

The indictment was done by a handpicked quasi-judicial commission set by Audu himself and Gen. Aniebo never made an appearance.

The question for you is thus;

Why did Prince Audu or Kogi state government not take the General to court to convict him or recover their money? The answer is that they did not have any concrete evidence other than the doctored and pre-determined worthless findings by his handpicked committee which you guys are bandishing around.

Obj as a civil war hero knew the non-nonsese general intimately and was convinced that Audu was playing politics of vendetta.

Which official document? Document from a Prince Audu handpicked committee? Abe g,. This is exactly the same thing Wike did to Amaechi in my state by handpicking a Justice Omerengi led quasi-Judicial committee which passed a pre-determined indictment on Amaechi for corruption.

Wike has been going around begging EFCC to come and use the indictment document as eveidence to take Amaechi to court for conviction and so that he can refund Rivers state money.

If Wike is serious, why is he not taking it to court himself and his government? Does he not have an attorney general and solicitor general?

Tomorrow now with Ameachi falling out of favour with APC, you guys would come and start waving the doctored indictment as an evidence of corruption against Amaechi without court conviction.

My friend, I can see that understanding legal terminology is not your strong point.

Tinubu and his team are rather disturbed that the humongous electoral heist they committed is about suffocating them.

Tinubu has no option other than to return the stolen mandate to the rightful owner.

You were recently recruited and Just registered today with already 38 quotes all geared against the Igbos? It seems that the KPI for posting bigotry have been upped.

The Obidient movement cuts across all ethnic groups and Tinubu's minion attempt to belittle the movement will always backfire. If Tinubu and his foot soldiers are sure of themselves, why did they resort to violence to win the Lagos election?

We will always be ready to meet BATist any day anytime!

Which court convicted him? You guys are unbelievable!

You did not even read my write-up and you only came here to regurgitate what your folks have been parroting.

Prince Audu accused Gen. Aniebo of embezzling money and set up a quasi-judicial commission he handpicked which went ahead and indicted his perceived enemy based on pre-determined outcome.

He never took the report to court so that a court of competent jurisdiction can adjudicate and pass a conviction case if convinced that the General actually committed the offense.

Prince Audu only played to the gallery by sending the report to Obasanjo use against Gen. Aniebo which he refused.
Prince Audu had an attorney General that could take it to court but he never did. Even in retirement, the Kogi state government never took it up and sue general Aniebo for alleged embezzlement.

I gave a case in my State where Wike set up a panel or judicial commission of inquiry with Justice Omerengi as Chairman which indicted Amaechi and Tonye Cole of embezzlement but has not been able to get a conviction through a court but has rather been asking the EFCC to take the evidence to sue Amaechi to court.

Are you now telling me that Amaechi is now convicted or corrupt based on Wike's handpicked panel?

The money that the military boys stole in the few months that Abdulsalam Abubakar was in charge before handing over civilians in 1999 was humongous. Non of the MILADs of that era is currently a poor man neither are his kids.

The correct question should rather be to find our while the Kogi government never took him and the document to court to get conviction?
