omohayek:from consultant to employee. Weldone o. You don't motivate consultants that way. They are professionals and suppose to deliver irrespective the amount involved per transaction. What you are arguing is like Telecom billing users by importance of calls or messages and not on volume. 1 Like 1 Share |

CodeTemplar:It's your kind of mentality that has left so many businesses stuck in 2x2 corner shops because their owners prefer to own 100% of nothing rather than "just" 5% of something worth billions. It's a good thing Lagos isn't being run by people with your way of thinking. 4 Likes |

omohayek:Prosperity of the corrupt elite at the expense of the people when there are fairer alternatives is what I am challenging here. 5% or 10% of everything in this case is unfair because same effort needed to receive a N1000 tax is needed for a N100,000 tax. |

PulaPower: I don't go to HMRC Coventry office which covers where I am here in the UK, I access them online. Anyone paying taxes in Lagos, don't need to go to Alausa though I know your mind is still stuck in the 1980s ways of doing things. |

PulaPower: I contacted HMRC and I am actually on the path of getting tax refunds for tax I paid to the UK govt while working as an international student even though I have switched to skilled worker visa and I don't mind the council tax, road tax, TV license etc because services are being rendered and moreover I am on a free UK medical care tied to my skilled worker visa till 2028 and I comfortably pay those taxes. |

Zupay:Good.. Contact them in Alausa.. There’s a reason you contacted HMRC in UK but not online blog. |

Godwin4444:POS operators spend more to get more cash. With withdrawal limit in place, they queue more to make more withdrawals, spend more to buy more cash from filling stations, gas stations, and cash driven businesses. They also shoulder the risks of banks in transferring cash and it cost money sometimes. Alpha Beta on the other hand, will receive a N1000 tax and a N100m tax alike. Same bandwidth, documents, and resources are expended. Add to this fact, the reality that once an organisation, business entity or tax source is identified, recurrent tax collection is easier. |

Godwin4444: If UK govt did not ask me where I came from before assessing me for tax refunds, why should I answer you? I was born and raised in Lagos, I pay related dues to the property I have there linked to my name and I can't connect how state of origin is a prerequisite to ask about taxation in Lagos where I pay tax. |

Godwin4444:You are very wrong. POS operators spend more to get more cash. With withdrawal limit in place, they queue more to make more withdrawals and thus need more time or a dedicated withdrawal assistant, spend more to buy more cash from filling stations, gas stations, and cash driven businesses. They also shoulder the risks of banks in transferring cash and it cost money sometimes. |
