There was a spark before the building went off that's what caught the cameraman eye and made the video. It was coincidence.

It seems the building made some cracking noise and raise dust before its final collapse. This is evident in the vodeo as you will see dust arising even before the collapse. Hence, those in the building were alerted and ran out before the collapse (My thought though)

Banana island is a waterlogged/swampy area of lekki in Lagos. Those areas are usually sand filled before construction commences.Possibly, the collapse could be as a result of Settlement.. A condition whereby the weight of the building is far heavier than the bearing capacity of the soil.Proper Pile foundation handles settlement in a soil.Possibly, the Pile foundation was not strong enough to prevent the collapse.

if you watch closely.. there ve been some huge cracks already and the building was already bending
