Bro. You don't understand Northern Nigeria.

The aim is to maintain the highest level of police conduct and professionalism in the North.
When last did you here of police brutality in the north? Even when you hear, the punishment is always swift and heavy.

But here in the south.... They cook up stories to cover their assess.
Police brutality and misconducts is not allowed in the North.
Rivers state comes to mind, where an adult man was humiliated and assaulted by police over 50 naira bribe in front of the world. But you can't hear of things like this in the North.

Why?

That's a good start for the Police force to weed out all those anyhow Policemen in the Force...the next line of action is all those policemen on Uniform that do drink to stupor........Sack them cos that's gross misconduct....Then those Policemen collecting money along the highway from civilians on private cars...I hate seeing them like that....They' re Armed robbers in police uniform. If you don't comply with them, they will fire you and move ur car.

Why dismiss them? Since no one was killed or injured...
Why not give them some other punishments like non-payment of salaries for say a month or two, putting them in cell, communal work.

Now they may go join bandits or armed robbers and start using their police skills and information nefariously, especially now that they will be 'disgruntled'...

This punishment is not commensurate with the supposed offence.
There are more weighty offenses that others are guilty of that should warrant their immediate sack - not this at all.
Somebody, somewhere just flexing his superiority.
