Popular Nigerian businesswoman and blogger, Adenike Adewunmi-Adebisi (founder of Nikkisworldblog), died on Thursday, April 13, IGBERETV reports.

She was pregnant at the time of her death. Adenike had been hoping for a child for decades and finally got pregnant at 49. She was reportedly hoping to mark her 50th birthday with the birth of her first child.

She complained of shortness of breath on Thursday and died before getting to the hospital, according to reports.

Her last post on Facebook, shared hours before her death was about Face-me-i-face-you houses and was shared shortly before her death.

Not common. But it does happen. I have seen a lady got pregnant in her early 50's . She gave birth to triplets.

Women should stop risking it. If you are advanced in age, and you are desperate for children, find a surrogate. I must carry my own pregnancy has sent so many women to their graves.

The husband and the world that you are trying to please, will move on with a speed of light if you die. This was how a former neighbour died after giving birth to her baby girl. She complained of shortness of breath, and boom....she closed her eyes forever.

They use donor eggs of younger women cos although it's possible for a woman to get pregnant at 50, the older they get, the fewer the eggs and increase in abnormalities.

That means that genetically, the baby isn't hers. It might be the husband's if his sperm was used.

Sometimes it's better to be childless and stay alive...there are different routes to motherhood
