Housing remains a big challenge in Africa’s biggest economy with many lost in doubt if they will ever grow to own a home of their dream through legal means.

By reforming the sector, Asiwaju plans to encourage a working mortgage system that works for all.

For Asiwaju, there are small-yet-idle number of parastatals with undefined purpose in the system that needs to be merged to a single, more functional unit.

This will allow his government to monitor the sector & invest heavily in order to reduce the housing deficit.

The agency will have a three-fold mandate to

(i) grant low interest rate mortgages directly;

(ii) guarantee qualified mortgages issued by banks; and

(iii) purchase mortgages from private banks.

Asiwaju is also planning to work with state governments to review the land use act in a move that will encourage them to avail lands in their states to investors for affordable housing.

Working with state governments, his government will provide credits and incentives to developers of housing projects that set aside a significant portion of their projects to affordable housing.

Great times are here. We need to be excited because in Asiwaju, we have a talk and do president. One known for keeping up to his promises, this time, of renewed hope.

For some strange reasons, I have more women(both single and married) hitting on me now that I'm married compared to when I was single. I used to do the chasing, now they do the chasing.

You are absolute right, i had to remove my wedding ring for this same reason. I ask one of my many female chasers what she saw in me knowing i am married, she said been married shows that i am a responsible man. So i ask her how she would feel if she was my wife and i was cheating on her, she couldn't give me a sensible reply...

The law clearly states properties acquired during marriage are shared 50/50. It's left for Hakimi lawyers to convince the judge to bring it down.

it is the law. it needs to be upgraded/reviewed but that is a story for another day. it is called gaming the system.

For instance, in California, the law now is you have to been married for 10 years before you can claim alimony.

some years ago, some chick tried to run street on paul mcartney. he started dating this chick after his wife died, he married her, and she almost immediately filed for divorce. if i recall the entire thing was just sorted out for him because he was a beloved cultural icon

as an aside, the late abubakar audus wife tried to run this same game on him in yankee. she divorced him then tried to claim his us assets. unfortunately for her Audu was one step ahead of her. all the assets were in the name of his company. so the woman and their kids were ejected from the house . she then ran to SM fro sympathy. it was very very funny for people from kogi - because the woman had been a tin god in her own right.
