He was an embodiment of peace, tolerance and perserverance. Always quick to forgive and gentle even to those who were hostile to him. Some Sunnahs we should observe during Eid:

1. Takbirats: to be said after the crescent has been sighted and especially after every prayer for the 3 days of eid.

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar
La'ilaha Illalah, Wallahu Akbar, Walillahil Hamd.

2. Zakatul Fitr: to be given a day or two or before going out for Eid prayers. This is to enable those of smaller capacities financially to celebrate eid like everyone else without the hassle of looking for food on the day of eid.

It is to be given out for every member of a household (old and young) to only the needy in the society.

3. Swapping of routes: it was reported that the Prophet (SAW) used to swap his route to and from eid ground, so whoever is opportunity, should try and observe this Sunnah.

May Allah SWT accept from us and guide us to the straight path.
