Good morning everyone, please I need experienced input on this topic. My engine was shorting oil seriously and I put together some money to 'ring' the engine, mechanic first delay work for over four weeks, when he finally finished, the engine just won't start, we've replaced the valves, camshaft and some other components, yet engine wouldn't start. If anyone has experienced this kind of issue before kindly share your experience. Thank you in anticipation! Gazzuzz. |

GAZZUZZ:There's a spark and fuel supply, don't know if they did a test for compression. |

Do a compression test, timing might be off 1 Like |

olamilarks:Where that finger is, it coordinates fuel injection and sparkplug sequence, check if they flipped it the wrong way, or installed a different one for a different vehicle . 2 Likes

Hi Oga Gazzuz pls I need ur assistance cus I'm going crazy here. My car(Nissan Altima 2008) had engine issues and the mechanic worked on the engine. Along the line he(the mechanic)lost the sensor key cus it's push start. I got a new key and ever since the car has not been able to be programmed!!! This is almost a month now. They said it's something called the hammer in the steering lock that is preventing it from programming the new car. We have changed several "hammers" same issue. Next they said it was the BCM,we have changed over 6 BCMs no luck. I am lost. Pls help me Gazzuz u are my last hope. God bless u as U respond to me |

Programing the fob could be difficult at times especially when there is an issue with the steering lock,u can move all the parts to another car and program it and return it back to the car |

Update: Car has finally started, turns out they bought the wrong camshaft and when we put the right one the car started, thanks for your input everyone. Most especially Oga Gazzuzz. 1 Like |

Heftyceo:There are too many dead and faulty BCMs in our markets. Even if you change 10, all 10 may be bad. Does the car crank but does not start or doesn't even crank at all? Someone in Ladipo once told me the hammer story  . I wish you didn't listen to them. Have you scanned it? What codes do you have? Do you have any yellow or red key light on your dashboard? I'm asking all these because programming a key is pretty straightforward and takes less than 5 minutes. If you have issues programming it, it might be indicative of another issue which the scan will show. Have you also tried disconnecting the battery over the night to see if you can program the following day? 1 Like |
