Playing with their peers is their level

If you have to drop down to win something will that be a positive?

Like joining U17 boys or female team
Shey na U17 Boys and female team Roma play against?
Abi when he was employed he should've refused to participate in the competition?

E no get how you wan spin am. Roma were trophyless since 2008. He joined them and won a trophy.
Now he's in the semis of another and in the CL places.

Those conference league teams like West Ham Frankfurt and Rangers are like U17 or female team to Roma

Roma was a regular top 4 in Italy, which of Frankfurt West Ham is a regular top 4 in their league

Regular top 4, that's why they qualified for Conference League.

Regular top 4, that's why they won as much as you or I in 13 full seasons before Mou.

José Mourinho on Roma's wild win over Feyenoord:

'You can see it because I have lots of grey hair, while the Feyenoord coach Arne Slot is bald' 👴 grin

Liverpool might end up on conference league next season and Chelsea may not even qualify for Conference league next season, So that means they are not regular top 4

Roma can win something if they improve their game or they step down into lesser competition, They have chosen to do the latter

Exclusive: The Times understands that Chelsea have been seriously considering Vincent Kompany for the vacant permanent managerial position. The 4 candidates are now Julian Nagelsmann, Mauricio Pochettino, Vincent Kompany and one other.

My son currently trains indoors on Friday nights.

A couple of the kids there play for local teams as well, and train once or twice a week with their teams which are usually 7 aside

One girl here is in the academy for a League 1 team close by, and trains twice a week with them, twice a week with her football team, and every Friday with my son's group.

The training with the league 1 team is funded by the club, so as long as your child is scouted and brought in, you only have to pay for boots/shinpad and transport.

I pay £30 a month for my son's coaching. One to one coach around here sometimes goes up to £50 a session depending on the coach. The guy that takes my son's group session is only a sports science student, so he charges £15 per session (for 45 minutes)

This is all U-10 btw.

One of the kids that trains here at u-14 recently got signed by Man City for what I hear is around 200k. I think it was paid to the parents and some other shenanigans as they're not supposed pay transfer for kids.

I will take a picture at training later this evening to give you a sense of how it plays out here.

Brilliant stuff boss. Thanks for the specifics and would appreciate if you are able to share the pictures. This is part of what I am looking for.

Our "TD" here is adamant that kids u9 - u11 in the local academy should train 3 times per week (including public and school holidays) and then a game on weekends and it is not cheap. The parents foot the bill all the way for everything. We are talking thousands of dollars.
I've had parents come to me complaining that there kids no longer want to play football, drop out completely because the training sessions are either boring or repetitive and leaves no time for them to take part in other recreational activities.

A kid recently dropped out to focus on dancing and singing. I am not kidding.

I have watched some of the trainings and it seems they are turning them into robots, dulling their instincts.
E.g., They play from the back even when it is obvious they are struggling, imo their instincts should take over and try something different but nah, they keep doing the same thing over and over again.

My opinion is that kids of this age should train no more than twice per week plus a game and also develop their instinctive part of the game. The training sessions should be structured in such as way that they are able to play as a team and at the same time develop individually. A fun filled scenario where the kids want more.

What I am seeing at the moment is just some robotic display and I wanted to know how it is done is other countries, say, in Europe to make some comparisons. Thanks

Roma season finishes in the Serie A

2014 2nd
2015 3rd
2016 2nd
2017 2nd
2018 3rd
2019 5th
2020 6th

Before Pep joined City in 2016, If City wins this season they would have won the league 5 times in 7 seasons of Pep, In 7 seasons before Pep they won the league 2 times

In many areas and countries, junior players aged 9-13 typically have two to three training sessions per week. These sessions are usually focused on developing the fundamental skills of the game, such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball control. Coaches may also introduce tactical concepts and strategies, but the emphasis is generally on individual skill development.

Junior players may have one or two games per week, depending on the league or competition they are participating in. The size of the pitch and goal, as well as the number of players on each side, can vary depending on the age group and the league or competition. For example, in some areas, 7v7 games are common for players in the under-11 age group, while 9v9 games are more common for players in the under-13 age group.

It's generally preferred that junior players are trained by qualified licensed coaches. These coaches are often trained and certified by their country's football association, and have undergone specific training in coaching young players. They are equipped with the knowledge and skills to design training sessions that are age-appropriate, safe, and effective in developing the players' skills.

While it's important for junior players to develop the technical and tactical skills needed to play the game, it's also important to allow them to explore and develop their instincts. Good coaches will balance structured training sessions with opportunities for players to express themselves and make decisions on the field.

Junior players may be required to pay fees to participate in club or league activities. Some clubs may offer scholarships or subsidies to players who demonstrate financial need, but this varies depending on the club.

The pathway from junior to senior football can vary depending on the country and the level of competition. In general, junior players who demonstrate exceptional skill and potential may be scouted by professional clubs and offered a place in their youth academy. From there, they may progress to the senior team if they continue to develop their skills and perform well. However, the majority of junior players will likely continue to play at the amateur or semi-professional level as they get older.
Thanks chairman. I appreciate your response but I'm looking for specifics like in UK or Nigeria for instance they pay X amount, train X amount of times, Play for X minutes.. etc...Know what I mean?

EXCL: Understand Chelsea maintain heavy interest from last summer, in Raphinha.

Deco is key & been in constant contact with Chelsea’s technical directors since January.

Barcelona need to sell players & Raphinha would be a sellable asset.
Deco is working with Chelsea to workout best proposal to Barcelona.

Potential Azpilicueta part of the deal, who Chelsea won’t stop from moving this summer.

Raphinha for what? If Bohley is interested in adding another winger to our already bloated squad he should target Bowen and leave that fake Brazilian alone.

Oh.. I didn't know you wanted specifics. I'll ask to see if it's okay to share. I run a podcast and one of the channel's focuses is to "catch them young" and it covers training for younger ones.

This just shows our scouts are very lazy. What on earth is stopping them from going outside the popular league to unearth a gem?

You can win a trophy if you play below your level. Even you wey no dey win any sporting event among your age mate, if you join 15yr old girls you will likely win

So we should celebrate you for beating Teenage girls

How come many coaches before Mourinho never won any trophy against these (your) 15-year-old girls?

Nagelsman withdraws from the race to become Chelsea's manager.

Maybe... Just maybe... The Chelsea/Boehly project might just be an ordinary pipe dream since the top horses are withdrawing already.

Pochettino and Vincent Kompany have become the top two contenders for the Chelsea job after both Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann pulled out! I blame UK politicians for this quagmire of a situation and I hope they are happy.
