Someone that ran on a Mu-mu ticket in a multireligious Nigeria is not religious Politics? Even Buhari considers that ticket too extreem hence his choice of Osinbajo. Please tell me another thing. Would you be happy as a mosman to vote a Christian christian Ticket in Nigeria of today? tsdarkside: |

Nwaetche:Did they really succeed? Rigging won the day in my own opinion because all those igbo this and that failed woefully even in SW. It's the reason they've been creating useless threads about SE and SS. What happened here really pained them. How would you expect enlightened individuals to vote for a senile kingpin? |

No now, APC failed woefully. I called it a pyrrhic victory. We all know for example that Obi won in Rivers State followed by PDP with APC not even getting the required 25% but Wike got everything turned upside down. Our people wanted to punish Wike and his candidate in the governorship election and he knew it hence his brazen rigging with active Federal Governement participation. You saw what happened in Lagos too and elsewhere hence the desperation as you rightly said to reactivate the old rivalry between the South South and South East geopolitical zones. Our people are wiser now. We all need good governance and not political patronage which have kept the country backward for so long. APC days are numbered if they continuw on this path! NothingDoMe: |

no, Ojukwu was trying to help liberate Kwara from the claws of Futa jaloon usurpers. Impostor! I thought you were claiming Delta State before, now you have moved to defend Lagos. Please leave Lagos alone, real Omoluabis can do that effectively. Please start with the ancient city of Ilorin that is still under internal colonization of Futa Toro and Jaloon mountains sojourners. After all, charity begins from home! , , ![]() tsdarkside: |

We are not brothers with the South East and will never be. It looks like you were born after what the South South people went through in the Eastern Region, if so,please go and study history or ask people who are older than you. Our fathers fought for us to be separated from the Eastern Region because the Igbos took everything, they moved the capital to Enugu when it was supposed to be Port Harcourt or Calabar, they sacked 90% of SS people from the civil service, they appointed 95% of Igbo people into the civil service and other key positions, they killed hundreds of thousands of SS people during the Biafra war and tried to force us into Biafra when when we resisted because we had nothing to gain from joining Biafra, they suppressed the Niger Delta Republic when Isaac Boro attempted to create one. We are not brothers with Igbos and will never be,they're just using us because the SE is completely Impoverished, that's why you see them running to SS states to earn a living and escape poverty. If you're 17 years old and know nothing about history please ask people who are older than you before you open your mouth. |

misano:What's it with you and SW Its so funny that outside Lagos( where u try stamp your authority and met your match) Igbos in other part of SW have never had issues with the Yorubas You think they are your number one enemy, yet they accommodated and received you than any other tribe in Nigeria post civil war and even till now You've always hated your host, Thank God for 2023 |

Akungitit:This is big lie, the second in command during the Biafra war was a Calabar man. Am sure you cooked this up for your selfish interest and the issue of the so called appointment was never done by an Igbo man. Again the issue of making Enugu the center was a collective agreement. |

A Rebuttal to this misinformation From your writing, one can assume you are Ijaw from Bayelsa or Rivers State as Ijaws from Delta state were never part of Eastern State. I would not have responded to your lies and misinformation here if you did not mention South South and cast the aspersion that the South South would never be friendly with South East and Igbos in general. As starters, I must state here that I am from Etchie Ethnic nationality of Rivers State. Etchie is part of the larger Ochie an ancient southern Igbo nation subgroup that was balkanised into three States of Rivers, Imo and Abia. In Rivers state, we have 2 LGAs, in Imo, we have two LGAs and my ethnic group shares an LGA in greater Aba area with the Ngwa Ethnic nationality of Abia. For your information Ngwa is another major subgroup of the great Igbo nation with Aba as their main city. As you can see I am a full blooded Igboman just like many other Riversmen and women that identify with the great Igbo Nation. I am also unapologetically a proud Niger Deltan from the South South geopolitical zone. My grand dad was a respected court Clerk in the then Ahoada division of Old Eastern State. I was opportune to learn first hand most of what happened before and during the first republic before his demise. My grad dad Chief clerk at some point was a prince of the great Bini kingdom who later became an influential and well respected Oba. As you can see many Niger Delta Ethnic Nationalities like mine have kith and kin across the geopolitical divide which made your assertions a wishful thinking. Coming to you argument, Enugu was chosen as the capital of the East by the colonial administrators when the Igbos were not even in any position to influence anything. In fact most of the educated elites were from Kalabari, Bonny and Brass. Port Harcourt was a forest and farmland mostly owned by Ikwerre Ethnic nationality and a bit of Okrika fishing settlement and was only developed as a port city to help ship Coal from Enugu that attracted the Whiteman to the city in the first place. Therefore Enugu was already the de facto capital before Port Harcourt was even developed as a port city. Calabar was briefly the capital of Nigeria but the capital was moved to Lagos by again the colonial masters. Yorubas and Igbos were never part of the Whiteman calculation to move the capital to Lagos. Most of the bizarre assertions you made about treatment of minorities by Igbos were tabled before the 1957 Sir Henry Willinks commission and most were found not substantiated. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/308531248_The_Willink_Minority_Commission_and_minority_rights_in_Nigeria It is on record that Isaac Boro enjoyed all the privileges that Eastern Nigeria could offer, he went to UNN and was elected the SU President with majority of Igbo students. You can read more about his motivations from his blood brother David Boro's account. https://punchng.com/northern-nigeria-encouraged-isaac-boros-12-day-revolution-brother-david/ The Biafra of 1967 was a multi-ethnic entity with many nationalities playing prominent roles in that ill-fated enterprises. The three top guys were Ojukwu, General Effiong and NU Akpan who was the Cabinet Secretary (3rd in command). The Amanyanabo of Kalabari was the Chairman of Eastern House of Chiefs, a powerful advisory body to Ojukwu and his government. Same as the Amanyanabo of Okrika. The great kalabari king was exiled and later died in Lagos. Diete-Spiff never allowed his body to be repatriated back to his beloved home. His grave is still at the Ikoyi cemetary and Kalabari has not been the same till today. Have we ever asked how a great Kingdom and pioneer stated diminishing and still a shadow of itself till today. Not done, he cheered as Adaka Boro supported by Yoruba and Northern Nigeria Soldiers humiliated the first electrical Engineer in eastern Nigeria and an illustrious Okrika king was stripped naked publicly and was given 24 lashes by the Nigeria military for supporting Ojukwu and Biafra. The amiable Okrika king was only saved by a Yoruba officer who defended him otherwise he would have died in solitary confinement in Port Harcourt, chained to the floor like a common criminal against the protestation of his beloved subjects. His Kingdom was balkanised into tiny amanyabo kingdoms and then promising Okrika nation was set back for ages. To him Okrikans and Kalabaris were then not Ijaw enough although in his later life he joined others to commission one Prof. Alagoa of Nembe to rewrite the Niger Delta Etimology/history to make his much maligned Okrika and kalabari ethnic nationalities to become Ijaw apparently due to much needed demography for clan based Rivers politics of ethnic nationalities. I will not waste your time to discuss what Adaka Boro and his junior compatriots did to the ancient Ibani kingdoms of Bonny and Opobo. The treatment meted to them were the worst because they speak Igbo language. Boro and his cohorts distroyed the ancient palaces with invaluable artifects and historical books of the great King Pepple and King Jaja respectively. Dieter-Spiff followed Boros inhuman acts against the innocent Ibani people with his forced Ijawnisation program. This was after initially ridiculing them ostensibly due to demography contest with his perceived Igboid upland group. No wonder people heaved a sigh of relief when many years later Bayelsa was created for the Ijaws and many Kalabari elite vehemently refused allowing any of their territory to be seeded to the new state partly due to those experiences under Boro and Diter-Spiff. Ordinary folks were not left out, my grand dad from Etche and indeed other Rivers Ethnic nationalities including Ikwerre people suffered under the abandoned property law that was hastly implemented to sow a seed of discord among the Igbos and their southern neighbours. The satanic law was codedly implemented that most South East Igbos believed even up till today that innocent Ikwerre people were the architect and not the victim since it was done in Ikwerreland. One should note that at this point in history, the Ikwerre had no say in the running of the state and no influence whatsoever in deciding anything. Even prominent Ijaws like Chief Frank Opigo who suggested the name of Biafra for the then emerging state lost his prime property in Port Harcourt to a fellow Ijaw and his cohorts. In fact his model school was also taken over by the state and converted to a School of basic Studies and now a University without compensation to his family till today. I do not blame the Ijaw nation for Adaka Boro and Dieter-spiff connivance with our political enemies of the first republic because Ijaws never met and asked them to commit those atrocities. No one asked Dieter-Spiff to work with then major David Mark to deprive the Igbos and other Southern minorities of their hard earned properties in Port Harcourt whilst not implementing the same evil act on other Igbo 'abandoned prproperties ' in Yorubaland and the North. As I always say, South South and south East Ethnic nationalities have been living in peace and harmony for millennium and will continue to live and intermarry for years to come. At times I get convinced that folks like you are not from the Niger Delta. i am sure we will soon find out and put you in your proper place. Akungitit: |
