I vote for Jesus.

I am praying for Sanwoolu to win anyway cause I no be bastard.

I woke up early, 6:00 am to take a stroll with hubby, came back, shower then started cooking. I made special efo elegunsi with 9 lives. I cooked rice and made semo too in case. There's this smoothy I've been meaning to do, I tried it today, it's still cooling in the fridge. I've been watching movies on my system, then EPL started at 4 so I abandoned the movies for later. NEPA has been good today, we've actually had light since 2 days ago. I will join Channels TV much later for updates.

What about the expressway being done from Sangotedo to Epe? Is that not a road?

Are you aware that there are Trunk A, Trunk B and Trunk C roads, which are the primary responsibility of the Federal Government, State Government and Local Government respectively?

Thus, don't expect state government to do all the roads in your community. Hold your local government chairman responsible. If you live in an estate, hold the estate developers responsible.
^^^
undecided

I was quite detailed on the road I had a problem with. The road from sangotedo, awoyaya, ajah to lekki is bad. No ifs, no buts.

Those who live there can testify, unless they wish to be untruthful to themselves.

Your separation of roads according to responsibility is of little real value to the motoring public in this discussion. The FG and LASG are both APC and the roads are still terrible. That's all that really matters. And if we really want to split hairs here, the road I referenced is a trunk B road isn't it? And at no point did I infer that government should take responsibility for estate roads. Where is that coming from? undecided

As for your comment about holding LG chairmen responsible...the LG chairmen all say that they don't have financial autonomy. The state governments hold the purse strings. So what next?
Re: Governorship Election: Who Are You Voting For Today? by Fujiyama:
olumide4christ:
1. Other governors should develop their states so that their indigenes can return back home and work and thrive there. It will also make their indigenes to remain in their states and not come to Lagos for greener pastures.
^^^
This is true.

olumide4christ:
2. The federal government must revive all other ports in the country, in Delta State, Rivers State and Cross river state. When all these ports are fully functional, it will reduce the quantum of articulated trucks on Lagos roads and therefore reduce the traffic congestion. Only Federal Government can do this, not Lagos State governor.
^^^
This is also true. Why has it not been done is the six million kobo question.

I hope you can understand that in the minds of voters, there is little separation between an APC-led federal government and an APC-led LASG. The failure of one is the failure of the other - and that is what is playing out here.

olumide4christ:
3. The federal government must revive all refineries in Nigeria and stop fuel importation through the Atlas Cove, Apapa, Lagos. This will reduce to the barest minimum the number of tankers on Lagos roads and thus reduce traffic congestion.
^^^
I assume you are an APC supporter. You have just given 3 practical, workable policy suggestions that could actually solve problems and improve people's wellbeing. Then why on earth does your party and government not do these things? undecided

olumide4christ:
On the NURTW, the state government needs to give stringent guidelines to their operations within the state and also engage some of them in other jobs. Some of them were absorbed into LASTMA and the BRT operations.
^^^
If the LASG (and to be fair, other state governments too) want to solve this NURTW problem, it can be done. But it won't be solved because both parties need each other for dark, ugly reasons. They fulfil each others needs - at the taxpayers expense, unfortunately.

olumide4christ:
No governor and I repeat No governor can solve traffic congestion in Lagos. Let no candidate deceive you.
^^^
No.

You just gave 3 practical examples of how the traffic problem can be solved - and you are not the governor...or at least, not yet. The traffic problem can be solved. Yes - it will require collaboration with the FG and other state governments but it can be done. It just takes an administration that actually wants to solve it, special interests be damned.

Even Now, You Are Still Growing Through The Storm

I know it seems like all progress has been derailed.

I know it seems like the world has caved in on itself and will never again return.

I know it seems like you were right on the cusp of having it together and then, suddenly, it was taken away.

I know it seems like this because on some level, it is like this.

This is what we are alluding to when we say it’s important to save, to prepare, to anticipate that our lifetimes may not unfold as linearly as we assume.

This is what we mean when we say that when the tide recedes, we see what’s just beneath the surface.

Disruptors serve a purpose in life, and every generation deals with at least one. They shake us out of our unconscious states — our habits, our patterns, our routines, our normalcy — and they encourage us begin again.

You are still learning things you didn’t know you never knew. You are different than you were two weeks ago and you will be different in another two.

We were going too fast, doing too much, so disconnected from ourselves it felt as though we were only being sustained by caffeine and fear.

What we had before wasn’t sustainable, either.
What this means is that the disruptor has come to show us the ways in which life must transform permanently.

We are not going back to “normal,” because normal wasn’t working anyway.

We have a rare opportunity to learn from stillness, which is where all true answers are found.

We have a chance to rethink everything, to finally get deep rest, and to return to the parts of life that are worth returning to.
Our consciousness, as a whole, has spiked and is accelerating.

There are lessons we will learn in this season that we could not and would not have ever known otherwise. There are ideas that will be planted now and watered into a revolution of change.

Gratitude will be reborn.

Openness will be reborn.
We will be reborn.
Not because we are blind to what’s happening around us.
But because we so clearly see.
