Many of those real estate projects you see (including those IN Abuja) are whitewashing for illicit funds such as fraud, corruption and drugs.

Unfortunately, the Government is turning a blind eye to this trend. May God help the common man.

Just do you bit and pray for God to make life easy for you and your family

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has a right to be visibly angry!

Banana Island has also lost the original banana shape due to these distortions. A future bridge is planned for the waterway in that area but sandfills have encroached on the proposed bridge pathway.

This is how the masterplan of the well-planned Festac Town (which
I first visited in 1980, when all the newly built duplexes on 5th
Avenue had not yet been occupied) was brutally distorted by those Military guys starting with the IBB administration and the FHA.

Designated parks and drainages had mansions built on them by the
Military and their cronnies right up to the posh Cocaine Avenue axis of
Festac Town back in the day.

Plenty land wasting away in Abuja, yet, some people prefer to build houses in Lagos where they'll have to sandfill, only for the building to later collapse.

Just move five multinational companies HQ to Abuja and see the mass exodus out of this stinking place.

This is what happens when you use 100 million meant to construct 3 storeys to build 7 storeys. Atimes I see the thin pillars and beams on some tall buildings on the island and then compare it to the bogus pillars on the 2 storeys my dad built in the east over 30 years ago, and I shake my head

Banana Island has an eerie quietness that can drive a normal person crazy. People who live there simply want to show off. It's an all man to himself place that sane people should stay away from.
