That means selina did not handle the shipment. 3 months is very good. Well-done.

I don't believe she did. They were first moved to a warehouse in China where the shipping was done from. So I believe all she did was the internal shipping over there.

Didn't you have some cells recently? I think Nissan leaf or so? or was it someone else

Yes oo.
Those guys are still going strong but this is a system upgrade. I will be moving those guys to handle the refrigerating systems (2 freezers, 1 fridge) now while these guys handle the house. The BYD from before too will now be fully dedicated to security lights alone (maybe afternoon pumping too sha).

Welldone oo. You no wan look PHCN and their distributor face again. wetin dem do you?? cheesy cheesy

However I hope you already have or are planning to get adequately sized solar panels to compliment your commendable battery pack because thats a lot of juice to fill up, you dont want to be spending many days filling up the "tank" especially during seasons when the sun energy are not at its peak.

Me, I know understand how your frequency is not "enough". Nigeria formally supplies 230v at 50hz . Most appliances in use in nigeria accept 50hz/60hz.

I concur with my other oga. 280v is high. So thank your stars your inverter is discriminating against that voltage. Please see if there is a way to regulate your generator output voltage to 220-230v.

Lolz I swear,I recommended the inverter to someone and was hoping to get a review..I guess this is one of the positive review then.

Besides how was the guy able to measure the frequency with a meter BCS someone that can should be able to know that the voltage supply value measured is completely off range

My experts in the House. I greet you all for all the enlightening may the Lord increase you.
Please i need a help. A client wants to setup an inverter and Solar system in his Pure water factory that will carry the following loads.
1. Sachet printing water packaging machine. According to the client the machine is 3pcs and each of the power input of the machine is 3kva X 3 and it will run for 8hrs daily.
2. 1hp pumping machine (Sumo) will go off once the tanks are full.
3. Lighting points for night

Please i need an advice on what system will work for this project perfectly.
1. Inverter capacity
2. Battery bank
3. PV capacity.
I will also like to learn all the calculations. Thanks in anticipation

Go get a Gen, I don't tink going solar for this is a wise investment because it's way much more expensive u will need atleast 20kva, the cost of inverter alone runs in millions

Thanks for your detailed response.

I thought it was one device. It looks like two devices. The (1) fan and the (2) Smart Temperature and Humidity switch.

Did you get both locally? Or did you get the fan locally but the Switch was imported?

How much did they go for?

I appreciate what you have said about the pricing on Amazon. My research indicates that the more powerful the extractor fan, and the more likely it was built well and that it will last long. Prices around $200 are considered reasonable if you get a powerful one from a renowned brand.

Your information has been very useful.

So if I were to get the setup, I should consider the setup incomplete without 2 fans.

Yeah, 2 Fans, 1 Smart Switch with 2 Outputs. Making 3 Items.

Got the Fan from here: https:///ojo/manufacturing-equipments/extractor-fan-with-shutter-12-inches-fe3Hf1l6mDIMc9BF33xe6Gzx.html

Got the Smart Switch from here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09QRM8GSM

Fan was 30K
Switch was around 25k (Total cost)

Selina came through for me.
Payment was made early January and they arrived early April. 3mths shipping and clearing duration then.
Well packaged for the long journey inside standard cartons. I don keep the cartons to use as separator when installation starts, top quali those cartons.
One of the things I didn't like with the purchase is the busbar came without insulation (usually its in their adverts). Just ordered shrink wraps now to use for that, extra monies.
For now batteries are undergoing top balancing. I see this my small charger using up to 2wks to gain full charge status.
Batteries arrived at 3.28v with a few dropping to 3.27v. They have been marked out for close observation.
Let's see where this new adventure will take us to. One China thing wey people never start to complain about.

@justcallmenuel, abeg this Growatt hybrid still dey available? Can you please paste the specs here. Thanks.

Chairman I hail o....long time.... wasn't expecting you to be buying cells anytime soon.... what happened

Na 52 cells oo. But I want to use 48 to make 3 banks. 4 extra was bought just in case some get issue during transport, abi na so them dey advice. I sha no see anyone with issue so I don get 4 spare be that. I go use them build 12v bank for my pikin in school.

As for the charging, I only have one of those chargers and with children running around everywhere I no trust doing them in bits oo. Let me just keep all of them in one place for now. As for spreading out the poles for balanced charging I would have loved to do that but you know say those chargers don't come with long wires. Make I dey manage am as I see now my brother. Thanks.

As for shipping I no really know who do am. I went through one of my colleagues that does China a lot. They charged shipping and clearing in one package sha.

Do you still have those 24v stand alone chargers? You could get the cells to 2 banks running 2p8s per bank and then charge them up to full...you will only need a little time to top-up with the 3v charger thereafter

My 300watt x 2 panel usually gives 20 plus or minus amps when the sun is high, but as of 2 days ago it has been given me 7amps plus of minus, thiu the battery still charges well but I haven't been able to use some appliances at noon as I always do,

What could be the reason?
I just cleaned the panels now still same output

That's nice. You'll really have no worries about power when you add these, but are you setting up a solar farm to charge them? Because I can only imagine how much solar input you'll need and the space.

Chief, this your question get as e be. It seems you want to go DIY without paying the price of reading up. If you want an installer to handle it for you then contact solid hands here that will deliver the job, otherwise all the information you need to set up your system is available here but you gats read up.... At worst, read to a certain extent so your questions or clarifications are more specific and can be answered easily.

Just an advice.

I want to clarify if you mean 3 pieces of 3phase machine rated 3kva each?
Single phase inverters are cheaper than 3 phase ones.
If I am to set this up I will rather go for 3 individual 48v 5kv-6kva inverters, each with a 7.2kw array of panels (minimum, preferably more) coupled with 15kw (48vx300amp) lithium battery bank. I will go for the high solar voltage CCs and possibly hybrid inverters to save costs. I will however parallel the batteries together, so that ,in case only one or two of the machines will be in use, then the other storage will not be idle.
A fourth 3.5-5kva inverter will be for pump and light. It will have its own panels but I will likely connect to the same battery bank to just complete the circuit but relying more on harvest from its panels to meet the power need.
As a minimum, a 7.5-10kva petrol gen should be available as backup, so that any of the water packaging machine could be switched over to generator if the need arises.
You can do your own initial assessment and calculations

This schematic might look strange but using solar/inverter for industrial use for years made me realize that a single 20kva inverter is like putting all my eggs in one basket.

One of major setback that i can see from this your panel installation is there is no spacing between the roof and the panel.

To fix this, there is a need for removal to have an profile placed under the panels of at least 1 inch for air flow under the panel.
papiTwist:

Thanks for your response,

Honestly I didn’t check the panels individually.
The panels are positioned East-West and facing due north. I couldn’t get it to face due south because of the roof orientation.

There is no shading at all. In fact the panel receives quality sunlight between about 7:30am - 5:30pm.

My mum has a purewater factory, and with what you've listed above 15kva(3× 5/6kva hybrid inverter paralleled together) with 10kw of panels will do the job. Ours run mostly during the day. 15kwh of lithium battery is enough except your factory works at night. You can enlarge the battery bank depending on Night duty/Load. You can always have a gen backup but I doubt you will end up using it with what v listed above or we have 3-days of darkness

Reason for almost half of your generation is based on a few things
1. your charge controller max. output at 12V
2. What condition is your panel installed in? if all boxes are ticked then averagely you will get a 560 - 500W production from the sun.

osayuwamwen:
Your own is even better, This is the highest I have generated sofar from a two 400watt panel, total of 800watt panel, just a mere 416watt in a very sunny day
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 2:58pm On Apr 26, 2023
While these test may look authentic, it is important to know that the sun do not give out 1000W/m2 except in rare cases

when this test was performed, if the solar irradiance was confirmed and then used for said calculation can we then decide what fate the panels really are in.

Based on our weather conditions, you can not do 100% of your nameplate.
Valto:
someone bought felicity 175w panel and after a perfect tilt, was only able to get 101w at peak of sun.
