I trade a live account chief and it's my thing to add to losing positions until stop loss proved my position wrong . The confidence isn't winning but making sure the risk I took won't wreck my account

Thanks cheif. It's just my discipline, I don't take trades that will put me in a bad risk so I don't stop mysef out until stop loss does. The second buy limit just got triggered and it has catered for the little loss . My stoploss still not triggered yet

When I talk am cheif... Well I take profit at any strong resistant or support that might push price back to my entry. The only time I let trade run is when there is no significant resistant or support that might hinder my target. Todays market dey very tricky, news is coming by 3pm and I'm seeing both buy signal and sell signals on most of the pair I'm trading... Its 50/50

I think he should understand that there's a type of stop loss called a mental stoploss. You can't size a position for real, if you can't pinpoint how far you're willing to let that position go against you; either by price range or range of time, or a combo of both.

I think in this case, you should have gone to higher time frame to check the direction before placing a trade.

Yes, he can have mental picture of his position and the rest, but I have learnt my own lesson, if he experience large spike on real account once, he will understand.

Yes, but mostly caused by volatile news releases. But its sweet when you are in the right direction sha.
