The leader of the apex Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere, Ayo Adebanjo, has said Nigeria currently has no President-elect despite the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declaring Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress winner of the February 25 presidential election.

In a recent interview with Arise TV, Pa Adebanjo insisted that what the country currently have is “a sham that will be pulled in due course.”

He said INEC jettisoned constitutional methodology and must explain to Nigerians why.

He said, “It is just the result of a bad government. A disaster that God will help us to get rid of. I can assure you there is no President-elect at all; it is just a sham that should be pulled in due course.

“This is a game we all see. We are all living witnesses to it. Why don’t you [INEC] follow the laws that will guide the elections?”

The 95-year-old said Tinubu’s camp in their attempt to reply to the groundswell of criticisms that trialed his controversial announcement as the winner of the presidential election, picked up the messengers and leave the messages which is the main issue.

Ayo Adebanjo is still dead nd bitter that Tinubu keeps excelling after he called their bluffs in 2003.
Other SW state governors that followed afenifere lost their 2nd term election but Tinubu who didn’t follow them is the president elect today.
I hope Ayo Adebanjo will not go to his grave with this bitterness

Yorubas find it difficult to disrespect elders and Pa Adebanjo is a revered Yoruba elder.

All the same, I think he is an elder who should calm down and not be an 'agbaya' as many Yorubas have indulged him to an extent where someone must now tell him enough is enough.

Adebanjo, in my opinion, is seeking relevance and a sense of purpose, in his old age, but going about it the wrong way turning against Tinubu because he assume this makes him a Nigerian hero in old age.

It is dictators and worthless leaders, who have 100% been guilty of gross incompetence, that balanced men would attack as Pa Adebanjo and Obidullards do.

For the rest of us, with no hatred/envy of others or Axe to grind with anyone, we view Tinubu a progressive leader and "the best Governor Nigeria has ever produced" (Reno Omokri) even if BAT is not everyone's cup of tea.

Nigerians , starting from Adebanjo, should stop disrespecting factual reality and making a fool of our nation through acting as if a disaster has befallen Nigeria when the truth is that positive folks and winners should be very excited about a Tinubu Presidency because of his antecedent and pedigree.

It is even more laughable when those wanting to engage in scaremongering against Tinubu are fans of Obi reality confirms was a below average Governor and worthless leader.

It is time for those who are progressive to embrace and engage Tinubu for the sake of better lives for all of us.

Nothing will stop his swearing in and nothing will prevent the delivery of his reforms that many of us are looking forward to using to transform Nigeria positively for ourselves and others

INEC decieved Nigerians big time, why promise the whole world free election that you don't mean in your heart, if not for INEC AND BUHARI promise every party would have planned for RIGGING so that as usual the highest rigger takes the lead as it was before electoral act and 300B election budget.
