LagosismyHome: I never get experience yet. Plan is to work in any of the field for 2 years under post graduate visa. Then find spons after two years since by then i'd have had experience. But i need to know the niche that will be hot by then. It should not be limited to the three listed. 1 Like |

Now the site claims they have sent verification code which I am not able to access. Their chat BOT told me he will reply me tomorrow. Abeg do you someone in alagbon? My records with them should still be fresh. |

DoDirtsLikeWorm: Not everyone wants to be here. Some want to leave to other countries or even back to Nigeria, nothing wrong with that. As I am, if I get a job that will take me to Nigeria, I will be off. Never liked it here and can't wait for the right opportunity. 9 Likes |

eniola1010:What you've listed are actually broad. In the true sense, - web dev has so many sides to it: back end, front end, full stack, UX, ven DevOps and on and on it goes. - Project mgt self gets technical, kukumba come branch reach agile, so they e dey waka go program mgt. - Cybersec, na e worse pass. I no say I wrote sometimes last year on this thread about it. CTI (cyber threats intelligence), analytics, blue team, red team, (at least lasgidi dey try), risk assessment, process and mgt side of cybersec (your ISO 2700x sec mgt and certifications), your governance and compliance. Oh, there's still Privacy (which fit randa on its own on one k leg) ... All three are increasingly integrating with other areas: legal, big data analytics, AI... 3 Likes |

You are right anyways. I never rated UK right from my younger age and UK wasn’t part of the countries I was interested in settling in and still isn’t even though I am here right now. Being here was just a circumstance of failure in securing both USA & Canada visa (I’m sure its same for few folks here), and when the opportunity surface itself I will still move out…. I’ve spent about a year and half here, my perception about UK hasn’t changed… UK is overrated, nothing much really. dustydee: 5 Likes |

AKALAMAGBO: Not to be offensive but I don’t really understand why people pick Canada over the uk, Canada weather is shit, the time difference to family and friends back home is crazy, the tax rate for earnings is not crazy different from the uk, still the same long wait time for medical procedures, exchange rate to the pounds is very poor and traveling from Canada to other countries for vacation is more expensive and stressful. Asides fast track to citizenship I don’t see why Nigerians want to move from uk to Canada, I can understand US but Canada confuses me. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Strata1716: What i'm struggling to get my head around is why people will waste so much money going to a country they don't like, before coming to the UK i had an opportunity to travel to US but that is one country i wouldn't want to live in no matter what. I have a lot of relatives there, so accommodation or feeding wasn't an issue. One day i will visit but i rather move back to Nigeria than USA 2 Likes |

Strata1716:You may not understand it but you can't a put the emboldened aside. This is worth everything for many people, considering that a lot of migrants are "doing it for their children and future." And of course you know Nigerians love quick gains. Think about how long it takes for a child born in the UK to get citizenship compared to Canada. So, for as long as possible, we will continue to see people complain about what the UK offers wrt other countries that seemingly offer better. 5 Likes 1 Share |

justwise:That's because I haven't found a suitable opportunity and Buhari did not help. I am optimistic that the incoming government will accelerate development. Now is the time for diasporians to take position back home before it's too late. Moving here was a mistake for me in the first place. I will be here to share my success story. 2 Likes |
