Na to get cover for plates remain

You'll get stopped by police immediately. It's just like driving without physical license plate.

Me too. I paid N45k in January. You will find out when you go to renew your papers and that's when they give you your bill.

Every state of the federation including the FCT need this because more than 60% of vehicles plying the roads are with expired license and altered number plates.
This not only raise their IGR but it's a means of keeping erring drivers on check.

Same thing happened to me, I'm still owing them 40k. Right now I'm still driving with road worthiness expired but all others are okay. I will only pay the 40k if I want to do my road worthy. They have the camera at third mainland exiting to oworo.

If that camera picks your license plate again, you will keep adding to your 40k. 20k for each time your license is picked.

It's been on for over 2 years now. Cameras dey Alausa and some parts of the Island. I think it's N20k. Once it captures your plate number and your docs are expired, expect auto-text messages immediately.

If God wan punish you, no come pay your fine on time, e go dey multiply. Maybe camera don snap the guy number plate 3 times.. lol
The cameras are everywhere. Most are mobile. As in vehicles that park in strategic places with cameras in them scanning vehicle number plates. Akowonjo, shasha, ikotun etc, they are all there.

MadamExcellency:
Lagos State number plate doesn't take cognizant that a vehicle can be packed for years without being on the road. You don't have to pay for licenses when the car is off-road for one year.
You would pay for those years the car have been off the road. Except you push the debts to another person by selling off the car to a new buyer.

Every year will be paid for whether you are on or off the road.

I got fined once, driving one day after expiry of one of the car documents.

Omo! The day VIO stopped me months after I even renewed the paper, I was bamboozled at how they even knew I was owning.

Only for income generation. Not deliberate effort to get rid of systems that is useless.

They should reduce the fine per offense to 10k or even 5k. Fine should not be more than minimum wage.

Lagos is Nigeria's London that's why the enemies of Nigeria wants to get it destroyed.

Any attempt by Biafra or Ipob miscreants trying to turn Lagos to jungle just like their region is, will be legally resisted.

Lagos is a Yoruba land and most Yorubas are cultured, if you must live with them, you behave yourself.

When you get to Rome, behave like Romans!!!

In my own experience; the camera flagged at Ikeja for not having a valid roadworthiness.
I was fined 20k but I contested the fine because I have Ogun state issued road worthness certificate. I uploaded the road worthiness certificate as evidence; And after 2 weeks the fine was cancelled. I live in Ogun state so its logical to get my road worthiness certificate in the state.
I always go to the VIS portal to make sure I had not incurred any fine and I always make sure my papers are up to date

Bullion vans are vehicles legally allowed to move cash about. But it sure catches Pandora robbers. Tell your man to be careful when he flees from the jungle called the Southeast to have a breath of real good life in Lagos. When he's caught, let him not start to holler victimisation or religious war.

In addition Lagos increased lastma officers salary by 100 percent That is x2 at the onset of the program.
