Calm down... don't be emotional....As per the drilling, they pay taxes to the relevant agencies in the state of operation ...If they are not, hold your state governments responsible. All these oil companies are not into drilling alone. They are usually conglomerates and they operate outside the south and that is why they have offices outside the south-south. An example is Mobil..Mobil has filling stations in every state in Nigeria, they have assets like a farm tank in Apapa, they sell aviation fuel and the largest market will be either Lagos or Abuja, they produce lubricants.. fact they make more money selling their lubricants, and marketing of their other products than selling oil.
all these you listed is not up to $1b revenue. now compare to billions of revenue mobile are earning in niger Delta.

Meaning whatever they are meant to pay to the state where they drill and that state allowed it to be remitted to Lagos State, it shows the revenue agency of that state is clueless.
What are you talking about?
Can you understand English?
What are they meant to pay to the state where they drill?
What is that called?
Equip yourself with facts before you talk.

What is paid to states where they drill?
The only thing paid to LASG is income tax for STAFF LIVING IN Lagos State
Staff pay tax based on where they live
Company tax goes to the Federal government

There will be restructuring but there will be no resource control

They are calling for resource control too. They have been planning the initiative for a while. Other regions should copy and support them in their quest for more autonomy. That's the way to go.

. What is withholding tax?You are obviously an ignoramus
The majority of workers in the oil industry are not in Lagos
PAYEE is paid to the place of residence of a worker
Why do oil drilling companies pay stamp duty ? For what?
Who collects stamp duty?

quote author=BloomingDale post=122806276]Resource Control for South South, please. Hope the South South Governors take note. We have to take control of our resources to develop our region.

Any oil company not paying taxes to South South should be booted out of the region. Let them go drill their oil wherever they are paying their taxes to.

Any banks, companies etc operating in your region and not paying taxes should be booted out too. Priorities should be given to regional companies, banks etc etc. let’s all develop all region.

I ❤️ restructuring.[/quote]

There will be resource control. Nature will always balance the scale. No unjust scale can rule forever. That is the law of the jungle.

This world is ruled by, whatever you sow, you reap. Forget about the fake Jesus invented to escape judgement.

Personal income tax for a worker in Warri is paid to Delta state not Lagos
It is the specified amount deducted at source from payment accruing or made to individuals or corporate entities in respect of income receivable for service(s) rendered or from investment and remittance of same to the Relevant Tax Authority in line with the provisions of Personal Income Tax (PITA) and Companies Income Tax Acts (CITA). you can now leave me alone

for individualsThere is no difference between PAYEE and withholding tax. They are personal income tax. Withholding simply refers to the METHOD of collection.

It is paid to the state where a worker resides.
So why would an Engineer in Eket Mobil pay personal tax to Lagos state.?
Only those workers working and living in Lagos state pay PAYEE to Lagos state
Most of the oil workers live in the Niger Delta.
Many of you ignorantly parrot this nonsense about headquarters.
It does not make a huge difference because company tax is paid to the FG regardless where the headquarters is
STATE GOVERNMENT DO NOT COLLECT VAT OR COMPANY TAX
Oil companies do not pay stamp duty
Stamp duty accrues to the FG

don't be confused you can spot the difference "PAYE is an acronym for “Pay as You Earn”. It is a method of collecting personal income tax from employees’ salaries and wages through deduction at source by an employer as provided by the relevant sections of the Personal Income Tax Act (PITA). (S.81 of Personal Income Tax Act Cap P8

You are bluffing
STATE government does not collect corporation tax or VAT
Personal income tax is collected once. Whatever name you call it will not change that
The point is oil workers in Delta pay personal tax to Delta state not Lagos state
Are you telling us that workers pay two different personal.income taxes?
I.e
PAYEE and withholding tax? Please answer yes or no

This is already Restructuring no matter how you look at it.
If you call it restructuring born to rule people won't allow it see the light.

Such an idea would have been even easier for SE states to implement seeing that one key factor that drives up cost of rail and power projects is distance.

You are not paying attention then. The north knows distance is a key factor tllthat drives up cost for projects like these and reduce chances of seeing the light of the day. They have done a good job of restricting decentralized power or rail for all these years. They also have been investing heavily in renewables. Check all solar factories and see where they are being sited.

I just wish that revenues generated in the various states will be collected by the states instead of the FIRS. Wike and Sanwo Olu challenged that in court I don't know how far that has gone. Nigeria really needs restructuring for things to work.
