I agree with you.
But if you see any opportunity to give your children citizenship of serious countries.
Grab it with both hands.

Meanwhile, hustle and give your kids a better life. It's worth it. (The advise is for me too)

most of them say they are doing it to secure their kids future.
The system failed them and they are looking for (excuses)
Wealth and knowledge of it secures a child's future,
Not all this relocation bullshit when they are not been pursued

Good for them that are willing to give their kids the chance because they can afford it. But please remind them that it's a privilege that many will never have so they should not oppress the ones that are unable to get better country citizenships. Besides, do you think kids in Naija wouldn't succeed?
Kids in Nigeria are succeeding....even much more

you have a point but most of them feel they can easily achieve their dreams in foreign countries and there is nobody stopping them from achieving that dream.

What's your point?

I have two teenagers that have just finished Jamb (15 and 17 years old) and one is already an expert in phone repairs while the other is a MasterChef.

Do you want me to leave them in Nigeria to study?

Bad leadership and corruption is not the problem of Nigeria, rather Its Bad voters and ignorance.

Nigeria is far better than most of those developed countries our people run to.. It's when they get there and see the way things are that they start coming to terms with the fact that 'no place like home'.

While some are able to "make it" and live fine, most find it difficult to survive and end up in shelter homes, low cost areas or hostels. I know guys that were given birth to in UK that still complain talk more of japa geng selling everything to move abroad.
Please name those developed countries Nigeria is better than.

The "better than" in my statement is relative.. depends on the way you want to look at it, be it weather condition, cost of living, social life, cost of water, electricity etc. bills
The UK for example isn't better than Nigeria.. even US as we speak isn't a safe haven for migrants seeking greener pastures as US citizens themselves have started moving to other parts like Mexico, Spain etc.

Your kids have 80-90% chances of surviving legitimately (through education) over there.
Here the chance of legitimate survival (through education or legit business) is like 5%.
Then surviving illegitimately (yahoo, runs, stealing, drug etc) is like 10-15%

Which is better?
You think someone that enjoys all the packs of a multinational company manager here but choose to abandon it and travel abroad doesn't know what he is doing?
Perks

Sometimes it could be ignorance or herd mentality. I am neither for nor against relocation though, whatever floats anyone's boat.

Fvcking delusional, most Nigerians are. They tell themselves 'Get rich and you will enjoy Nigeria', Lol.
A food delivery guy in the western world has a better chance of surviving a simple emergency than your dangote, does that tell you anything??

That is not true.. there are standard hospitals in Nigeria now with state-of-the-art equipment to diagnose and treat major health issues.

Stop misleading people with the "fantastic" health system abroad.. You must have social insurance and proper up-to-date documents to use their health facilities i n the US. The COVID-19 pandemic exposed this when mostly black people died from lack of proper health care. How many people died in Nigeria that you so much condemn compared to your USA??

If not for corrupt leaders, Whites would be travelling to Africa especially Nigeria for healh care and not what we have now.. Afterall the best doctors in the USA are Nigerians trained right here in Nigerian universities like OAU, UI, UNILAG among others. A Yoruba doctor in USA trained at OAU performed operation on a White baby still at 7 months and returned the baby to the mother's womb who later had successful delivery after 9 months. That was the first of its kind to ever happen.

I'm sure your type won't ever accept that there are poor White people simply because of your low self esteem. The Dangote you mentioned is richer than some States in US and Canada yet he chose to stay in his home country Nigeria and home continent Africa.. That is part of attributes of successful people; Self-love.

The point is that, the japa syndrome is causing alot of unrest in the mind of most Nigerians, 80% Nigerians now have the mindset that they can only make it abroad.
I have seen alot nursing such ambition of selling their properties, foregoing their businesses to travel abroad, this is a wrong mindset. I have an uncle , who refused to yield to his wife advice a long time ago about abandoning his growing business to travel abroad with the kids, Now the kids are done with school abroad while my uncle business is now multi million. The first born is now old enough to take over his dad's business here in Nigeria.

Exploring the world is good , schooling abroad is very important, but we should always think about the possibilities in Nigeria, this is the reason why alot of embassies what u to go back home after your studies, to inject your knowledge and experience in your home country, this is how China, new Zealand, India, build their nation.

Nigeria is bad today not because of the government, but because we go to school abroad, learn experience and skills but we don't inject these into our country.

Would have engaged you but you are a lost fvcking cause.
Standard hospitals your president avoid like plague.
The best doctors in the most advanced country on earth are trained in an impoverished backwater country in Sub-Sahara Africa, Lol.

Impoverished blackwater country yet full of talents and globally competitive individuals and professionals as compared to the largely psychotic population in your so called advanced countries.
I was privy to a research on gun control and gun regulation laws in the US by researchers at Johns Hopkins University that opened my eyes to so many flaws in the society of so called advanced countries. It appears the media outlets like CNN are keeping the bad parts and painting the good side for the world to see.

A video clip came out one time of an American kid that claimed he loves killing and would love to be a killer in future.. Instead of profiling him like the US system would have done to the Blacks or Arab Muslim kid, the system protected him and there was no case atal simply because he was White. Too many rubbish and the Police brutality on Black people potrayed in the American movie.. "Obituary of Tunde Johnson".

Please spare us the plenty talks of advanced countries.. Once Africans wake up and say no to mental colonization, the so called advanced countries would beg to survive.

Excuse so because Nigeria has cheap electricity it is now better than UK? Like, you will pay for electricity and would barely have light. You dig your own borehole and manage it yourself (let's not talk about cost of drilling one). Na wa for una, always celebrating mediocrity and na why Nigeria will never get better because of the likes of you.

Which cheap electricity exactly? Which part of Nigeria enjoys constant electricity or decent drinking water?

Maybe they're comparing it to the UK na... But tbh I'd rather pay UK price and have light constantly than pay what they consider cheap in Nigeria.

If you know the sacrifices those people make over there, working round the clock, no life. I know a family the man only puts on the heater at night, they have to manage during the day.

Sometimes, I believe those people abroad are working for those in Nigeria, you build a mansions that you might end up not living in.

Well. I’m in Osogbo. Average of 20 hours electricity. So not bad. Your points stands though...Nigeria can never be better than UK.
However I have also noticed your posts about Nigeria are usually pessimistic and full of condemnation.
Uk isn’t perfect as well and in some things...Nigeria is honestly better.
Heard of black people slumping and dying in factories due to work related stress. And an African nurse just died recently (making four in one month) too sleeping while driving after a night shift....
Uk isn’t heaven and have its own issues as well...
