Oga pearl. Long time This argument of interstate vs intrastate, I think where you're getting it wrong is using only time/duration to judge, you have to factor in the mileage too. If two vehicles have the same mileage, one strictly interstate and the other strictly intrastate, all other conditions being equal (except time spent), the interstate vehicle will be in better condition than the intrastate |

Itsrm:Bro, he used Mobil 1 synthetic oil 15,000miles protection. That's more than 20,000 km. Trust me he had sufficient protection. Did u expect him to service twice a month? |

Itsrm:Agba Driver...PH to Ibadan and u didn't enter a single pothole. Na float u float abi na drive u drive. |

Viking07:How can u compare GIG buses and molue? Since u mentioned GIG buses, let's find out how long an average bus serves the company, and compare that with brand new buses that are used for school runs or delivery within Lagos. Then we can make progress. |

deedee44:Maybe they are the ones getting me wrong... Just like stop and go is a disadvantage for the town driver, mileage covered is a disadvantage for the long distance driver. So considering what the vehicle is subjected to, I said long distance trips take more toll on a car than town driving. Because u can manage a car in town from morning till night and make ur 30k but ones u carry that car and enter highway kpe u wan go Kwara or Benin the car will break down. It means long distance trips has a higher demand on the car. I also said u can buy a car and be using it for town runs like ehailing and that car will last u for 5years or more but if it was used for Interstate travel, it will never last that long. I get the points they are making, but all na theory, to me it doesn't work that way in practice. |

Pearl1910:How do we know he didn't buy fake oil and was driving it on a false sense of engine protection. What filter was he using? Did he buy high qualty filter or change filter inbetween oil changes? How was the car used since 2003 where he bought it from and it only lasted 3 years in his own hands. You do know oyinbos do a lot of highway driving, right? |

Itsrm:Let me ignore the PH to Ibadan, u mean u travel from Ibadan to Abeokuta without entering a single porthole |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Itsrm(m): 10:07am On Apr 29, 2023 |
Bammzzie:The express to Sagamu interchange and from there to Abeokuta. Now tell us the last time you went to Abeokuta from Ibadan |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Pearl1910: 10:55am On Apr 29, 2023 |
Itsrm:Lolz...u used two days on the road abi. Itsrm:. U r bringing in other variables which can make this comparison impossible. Maybe u should also ask the speed he was driving while traveling. The point I have made is crystal clear. Yours is based on theory and ideals. Mine is based on practicals and real experience. Most times real life experience is different from what u are thought in d classroom. |

Pearl1910:They are right pearl. A simple pointer to efficiency Viz reduced wear is evident when you compare highway mileage with city mileage in car reviews and even your daily use. You use more fuel in traffic than when it's a free ride. Your car runs at more ease on the highway and by extension less wear. In my car's manual stop and go driving is qualified as adverse driving conditions. Your car battery lasts longer if it's run for long periods as against short ones, your tires wear less on highway driving than city. These are documented facts. |

YeyeGbami:As in ehn. . . gabrinchi tire me I swear why do you think I just dropped the debate? Even something that is a verified and verifiable fact he is trying to twist it. I have driven interstate transportation vehicles for some years myself and know that if I change the engine oil in a town only driven sienna and interstate only driven sienna at the same time with the same oils that the town driven one will get black/darker quicker than the interstate driven one. That’s just concerning the engine internals alone oh, now start to check the other systems of the vehicle. It’s like he doesn’t understand what the term ‘severe service’ means in his vehicles’ car manual. |

pope191:Shey the traffic wey you dey face everyday for that Berger road no dey tell on your body? Baba, I understand you need to hustle and pay bills, but then too much stress is hazardous to the body. Na person wey dey strong and alive dey hustle! I know someone who collapsed because of over stress. You should find a place to pass the night and move early in the morning. |

Pearl1910:Baba, forget this issue abeg. Na me wey you dey advice wey cause all the too much talk. Let it slide. Meanwhile the guy sef still dey price 70k and me still insist on 100. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by ReadaDream(m): 7:36pm On Apr 29, 2023 |
Barbiturate:70k is poor. You are taking them to Oyo, not Ibadan. 3days trip! My round trip to IB (Bodija) yesterday was 50k round trip. Although the woman later paid 55k due to the stress of using Ikorodu route. Don't stress the deal, if he can't pay premium, let them use public transport. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Barbiturate(m): 7:52pm On Apr 29, 2023 |

| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Barbiturate(m): 9:18pm On Apr 29, 2023 |
Pearl1910:Soft work no dey this one baba. The guy said if we get to Oyo, I'll drive them round to all the sites they want to survey till evening before we retire and continue the next day again. It's 100k abeg. I'm even having double mind on the matter. My woman don beg taya say make I no go.......but she go Sabi demand money anyhow ![]() |
