Gauteng premier Panyaza Lesufi has slammed critics on social media for “fat-shaming” a newly recruited crime prevention warden in South Africa.

Lesufi at the weekend unveiled 4,000 crime prevention wardens who will patrol the streets of the Gauteng province (encompassing Johannesburg and Pretoria) to strengthen law enforcement.

The wardens graduated at a parade at Giant Stadium in Soshanguve, Pretoria. Among them was Mahlatse Tseko, who many said was not “fit and agile” as required in the job description.

Body shaming and discrimination is as dangerous as racism and sexism. You can be somehow and still be capable to work. i am sorry to say that the above cop CANNOT PROPERLY FIGHT CRIME.... first he cant possibly run after criminals, and even if he does, they will only have to throw a sandwich on the floor for this man to stop the chase.

cop that will receive Hamburgers/KFC buckets as bribe... is that one a good cop?!

The person in the picture (I am seeing male/female) does not meet the qualification of the role (fit and agile).

However, the management/bosses/leadership might have recognised certain qualities in him that would make him an asset bar his weight.

In that case, they can make a special concession to train him specially to the ideal weight withon a specified period so they can benefit from the qualities he carries.

I hope he/she makes proud the people standing up for him/her.

It's irrational to body shame people because they didn't create themselves .
However ,the profession he has chosen doesn't fit his structure and he shouldn't have been picked in the first place .
