there was little the FG could have done for ekweremadu it was a legal case and the UK judiciary is largely independent from its government, and Nigeria does not have that diplomatic power,even if the boy agreed to it, and confessed he knew about it and was paid,it still wouldn't have exonorated ekweremadu because according to the UK laws it is illegal to receive compensation or payment for kidney transplant it can only be done voluntarily,

You know, the funny thing about this saga is the docility of the average Nigerian.

Wonders shall never end. So the law should not take its course because the offenders are public figures or because of what? I don't understand what Ohanaeze wants FG to do in this situation. They should be thanking God Sen. Ekweremadu and wife were not given life jail because that is the normal jail term for organ harvesting without consent of donor. Clemency was factored by the court and reason they were given light sentences. If it were to be Nigeria, that David will have rotten in jail for exposing big man while the Ekweremadus will be praised. I pray the newly installed King Charles III will temper justice with mercy and rescind the jail terms because going to jail at old age could spell doom for mental and physical beings of the prisoners. Thank God the jail terms will be served in UK, their prison is like houses middle class Nigerians.

That was the key thing in the judgement.

Even If the boy had agreed and a consideration agreed upon, It's still an offence in the UK as their law states that there must be no consideration (settlement) whatsoever. Plus, I don't think he fully understood the implication before agreeing ab initio.
