I dont intend this to be an ethnic bashing but my intent is on the need to continually hold our political representatives accountable for their failings..
I ve been to all the state's in Nigeria as a former commercial driver. I ve been driving till last year when I decided to settle down on the business I now operate..

Of the six geopolitical regions, southwest remains the least developed outside Lagos and very few areas in Ogun. These few areas in Ogun are those bordered with Lagos or those areas Lagos has been for decades trying to annex. Outside these few areas and Abeokuta, Ogun remains very underdeveloped and look more like a farming area with very poor looking inhabitants especially the indigenes of those areas. Non indigenes appear much more prosperous. The Ogun state experience replicates experiences of the other south western states like Osun, Ondo, Ekiti and Oyo. An ancient area like Oyo is expected to be more developed, yet it still has some structures and monuments from 19th century even in the capital Ibadan. There are presence of rusted, Brown roofing sheets covering many residential buildings. Ekiti itself remains the least developed with many of the districts appearing like farm settlements.

I think south westerners have focused much more on Lagos to the detriment of the other south western states. It is high time these politicians that run these states are held accountable for their absolute failure in representation

The main indexes of development in any state should be infrastructures, land marks, investment/IGR. who get the most

The southwest you are trying so hard to underrate with brown roof has more infrastructures, industries , land marks and investors than any region in Nigeria.

Now i expect anyone of you to tell me the infrastructures, industries and landmark you have in SE/SS that are not spread across SW.

Which region enjoy social amentities more than SW in the history of Nigeria,1st tv station, 1st teaching hospital, 1st airport, 1st sea port , tallest building in africa are where

I did my youth service in ekiti and ondo state. The state capitals are very developed . But all I see once I move out of the state capitals are mud house's. I didn't know that mud house's still exist untill I travelled to south west.

Even ogun has mud houses on the way to ota industrial estate. Oke bale in oshogbo na baba for mud houses.

there u go again promoting Lagos while leaving out other states in yoruba land. South easterners post pictures of Enugu, Anambra, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi but when u guys post, u only post pictures of Lagos. I think that is so wrong because u re doing a serious disservice to other states in southwest. Let the world see what's going on in other southwetern states for the needed actions. If the people need to vote all those politicians out let the people decide that.

What is your yardstick of measurement? Are you just comparing one entire state in south east that is not up to two local governments in South west? Because south east is too small in land mass, it is fast easy to see fine buildings concentrated in one area unlike south west where fine fine buildings scatter along bigger land mass even though they are more in numbers than that of south east, you will have to work some distances apart before you can take note.

[s]Also note that south east get highest number of fine-fine buildings[/s] lizard infected buildings that are not being inhabited especially in the village either because the owner is serving jail terms overseas for drug offences or Ipob/esn are using them to hold hideout meetings. It is difficult before you can rate that as development; if it were real development,; south east should be hosting highest number of manufacturing company more than Ogun state and Lagos State. However, it is the opposite

It's just the Ibo way of thinking. One was busted on twitter yesterday. He was passing off houses in an estate in Ogun State as somewhere in Enugu.

The Inferiority complex and insecurity they have is very strong.

believe u me, even if southeast develops like London, southeasterners especially Anambra people will still be pursuing money even in the the remotest area of Nigeria

Millions of which lgbos. How many lgbos dey nigeria that every one is claiming that their are millions in their state. Even graduates of uni of ibadan runs to lagos to look for jobs. The main job in ibadan na civil service. Business is very dull. Little patronage

Ironically, my best friend was an Ibo boy born in Ibadan. He even speaks Yoruba with an Ibadan accent.

There were lots of Ibos from Ibadan studying at OAU. Atleast 3 out of 5 ibo student you will see at OAU are usually from Ibadan, 1 of 5 from other SW hinterland states and 1 out of 5 from the South East. They usually rusticate those from the South East after the first year. I found one several years ago hustling at computer village after being met go from OAU. He went to Lagos to hustle instead of going back home to the SE.

I’m sad that Ondo state government can’t at least make the roads from Ikare-Aboki to Igbokoda a 3-lanes each way even if they should toll the roads from all the way down to the Sea side.
That will generate at least #5B for the state from Tourism etc.

The project about connecting ondo state to Lagos through Ogun state by coastline have been abandoned from what I can see unless project is going in Lagos state, that I don’t know.
