Almost everyone in America and most educated people worldwide know who the Mayor of New York and all the previous New York Mayors. Infact New York Mayors usually become Presidential candidates like Bloomberg and Rudolph William Louis Giuliani.

Now can you name the current Governor of Maine or Utah or Minnesota without using Google or up to 10 of the current 50 US Governors, even the Governor of New York ( except you live there). I am 100% sure your answer is no!!!

Fame is not the same as authority. Name one Mayor that has more authority than a Governor. Eric Adams or any other Mayor of New York City does not have authority outside of the city. The Governor has authority over any Mayor in the State. Same with Police..... NYPD ... world famous .... has authority in NYC only... while New York State Police ... nowhere as popular .... has authority throughout the State and over NYPD.

I never said authority. That would make no sense.
I said powerful, influential.

The influence is not on another Governor, of what use is that. The influence is a measure of comparison. The Mayor of New York has more influence in America and globally than the Governor or Maine, Idaho, North Dakota and most US Governors.

We are free to take what we consider good and reject what we don't like. Ghanaians rejected VP Kamala's LGBT rhetoric when she visited Accra last month.
