Cigarini:I believe you don't understand what you read or you just read the headline and rushed to comment like most people do. Abuja airport have around 5 terminals including GAT which FAAN decided to use for May 29 inauguration. Jets parked on that terminal are the ones to temporarily relocate. No airport can be shut down because of inauguration or dealth of anybody as thousands of people have been scheduled to takeoff or arrived on that day via that airport. At every presidential inauguration, at least, a terminal is always reserved for dignitaries and it is always the closest airport to the occasion. Several terminals were reserved for King Charles coronation at Heathrow Airport to accommodate over 129 presidents and other dignitaries jets. 3 Likes 1 Share |

The fact that inauguration will go on doesn’t mean that Tinubu will be inaugurated. The court petitions are going on very fast. If they conclude it before 29th, definitely Tinubu won’t be inaugurated. The swearing in preparations isn’t meant for Tinubu but the constitutionally elected in-coming president. 2 Likes |

001Lagos: You better watch your fingers before they plunge you into trouble. Stop this assault on the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria. Once he is sworn in, if you type this rubbish , you will find yourself to blame. Obi himself knew all this, that's the reason he has stylishly exonerating himself from your exuberance. 2 Likes |

001Lagos:No, because of innocent persons that may suffer, if security is breached on that day. Remember, this is a matter before the court, therefore, you have to either ATIKULATE your utterances, or better still, OBIDATTILY, wait the pronouncement of the court. I am an Obi supporter too, but we are not new in Nigeria. We move. 1 Like |

pendragonbladgo: Offpoint. You didn't answer my questions. Is it the job of the army to protect Tinubu? How will parked idle aircrafts affect inauguration on may 29? Were is it in the constitution that the president is the god of a nation? What is "grand chief"? Where is it in the constitution that Tinubu will become "grand chief" on may 29? |

Even if this would happen, it maybe safer to tone down the rhetoric and allow the judiciary to do their job with some air of freedom as it should be. This approach that is currently playing out is looking more problematic whichever way the pendulum would have swung, and may force things in a predictable direction citing security reasons that may take priority. For instance, there would have been no need to move out airplanes but because of all that is currently going on, a line is being drawn in the ground in a rather resolute manner. The cerebral with thinking caps are highly needed now more than ever. abdulskulboy: |
