This your attempt at ad hominem is really pathetic. Never seen someone so 'educated' yet so manifestly ignorant. If you know you don't know how to engage in debate using facts and robust arguments stay off my posts! komekn: |

fabyom:That is your belief. However, KDB has carved a niche for himself where he rules the chance creators. He will be remembered forever doing these over those you celebrate as greats. |

TheSuperNerd:There is no deviation but pointing out that the stats of different sources clashed with general opinions. Whoscored rated Grealish over Camavinga. |

TheSuperNerd:Definitely, I am not the one getting worked up here. Remember you posted KDB winning Man of the match, not me. I am just saying we don't know the statistical sources used to select the man of the match award for that game. Despite popular opinions, sofascore picked KDB. Citing numerous sources does not change the context of my point. My point is, we do not know how they picked their final decision. Contradictions in choices proves we can't hinge the decision on bias. Finito. |

komekn:any team out of the bottom ten in the EPL would do. They both have premier league experience with over 100 apps each. They would not lack suitors at all. |

You are the one still here defending a KDB MOTM because of your man city affiliations. I posted it as I post all other football related content. I am still the same person that quoted myself to address the MOTM decision. We do know how the MOTM was determined. Voters picked the MOTM. This is why Thierry Henry said what he said. Don't act like you don't know. Even the evidences shown leans the most towards Vinicius Jr. Lastly, Sofascore, to those who use the site regularly, have been known to drop ass ratings at times. That is the truth. A carefully done comparative ratings of similar stats of players would show some very annoying ratings differences despite similarity in stats parameters. And this only applies to certain "popular name" players in certain game contexts. TheGoodJoe: |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 5:09pm On May 10, 2023 |
You are still deviating. Henry's praise of KDB and his stance on the fact that KDB was not supposed to be MOTM yesterday came from a place of non-bias. Also, the focus on whoscored is Vinicius Jr. He takes it. On Squawka, he also takes it. On CBS, same. Focus on that and not on the irrelevant ratings of other players not in the MOTM convo across various sites. Is this the first time Stats would differ for an entire XI? The point is one player was clearly MOTM across most. TheGoodJoe: |

Senegal up 2-0. Another Own Goal. Another ball sent into the box forcefully from a FK, GK fumbles it and a confused CB reacts first to the ball but kicks it into his own net. #MDU17AfconDiaries |

Senegal 3-0 SA. Goal by #11 Mamadou Sadio. Not an own goal this time. Lol It's a party at the Nelson Mandela stadium in Algeria. 😂😂😂 Everything Senegal is throwing on target just seem to be creeping in. The South Africans lost their composure after that first goal went in. It was like knocking the steam out of them. #MDU17AfconDiaries. |

Senegal 4-0 SA. #10 Amara Diouf scores his 4th Goal of the Tournament. Initially ruled out for offside but that would have been the most ridiculous call in this game coz Omar Sall #9, was meters onside. The South Africans simply lost it after a good first 35mins show. Senegal indeed showing their ruthlessness. #MDU17AfconDiaries |

TheGoodJoe:In the end, I'm saying that Zidan is a better player, far better. If KDB is d most effective player, let his effectiveness win him the most prestigeuos price in the game, that's what d most effective players in d world have done. Iniasta and Xavi did it,chanpions league and world cup. Pirlo did it, champions league and world cup. Ronaldinho did it, champions league and world cup . Toni Kroose did it,champions league and world cup. Modric,Scholes,Lampard,Kaka, Schneider,Johan Cruf,Seedof, All these legends have done greater things with their effectiveness more than KDB yet no one has claimed that they were better than Zidan. Effectiveness or no effectiveness,Zidan is far better footballer. Let KDB effectiveness deliver what other effective players above have delivered, then we can talk. If u prefer KDB style of play, then stop saying he is better than Zidan. If u don't stop now, those who use to love KDB will start hating on him. |

TheSuperNerd: I don't care who was the man of the match. I am more interested in the team doing well. One day you guys will get to appreciate my contributions when you know it is devoid of bias. You think I am posting sofascore because of Manchester City affiliation. Then you don't know me. I judge players after a long run and not one game. So Vinicius Jr. might be the popular choice it is okay. In the match. When you posted De Bruyne as the winner, the first thing that crossed my mind was why ahead of Vinicius or Camavinga. Those were my picks. In the commentary, the commentator singled out Rodri as his best player of the game. So these choices have preference. What matters is the players giving good account of themselves. Not who won man of the match. |

Since you don't care, then why have we been talking about it across several posts? Let it rest then. You say we don't know how they named MOTM but I spilled it saying it was clearly Voters that determined it leading to Henry saying what he said. And your contributions are well noted and even respected but not when it is clearly in anyway talking down on a clear Midfield Great all in a bid to talk up KDB of your team. It clearly reeks of bias. Just let it rest. TheGoodJoe: |

TheSuperNerd:Stating facts is not talking down of a great midfield great. The fact is that Zidane was not one of the best players for France in France 98. It was a sentimental praise. It is a fact. Saying De Bruyne is more effective than Zidane, the stats prove it. That is not talking down on a great. Is Henry talking down on Ronaldinho or Messi or Zidane by saying De Bruyne is the most cerebral? I am not talking down on Zidane in anyway. Many did not even know about the France 98 episodes. Just as people don't know how effective Lizarazu, Petit or Djorkaeff were to that team. |

If South Africa had not gotten their early goal against Nigeria in that make or Mar Group game, this result they are getting against Senegal would have been their fate against us, albeit not exactly but similarly. Their early goal gave them the push and that unsettled our boys for a while before we truly rallied and got back into the game. The Nigerian lads clearly were better and only put themselves under pressure by not taking enough of their chances. This is something Senegal excels at - Taking their chances. Senegal would take some stopping to be honest. They are high on confidence and are quite clinical in front of goal especially their #10, Amara Diouf. Well, Nigeria's business is with Burkina Faso tomorrow. The WC ticket comes first before any thoughts of a potential meeting with the Teranga Cubs. #MDU17AfconDiaries. |
