I am telling you. They are poorly fed. Especially if you don't have money , relatives or friends bring food or money.
I take cooked food, pure water, soaps and Izal to ikoyi prison , twice in a month.

When States have to pay for feeding there will be a tremendous drop in arrests and prolonged detentions. Prisoners were used to milk the FG .... higher the number of inmates more money was demanded. Those benefiting will raise hell to prevent this from happening.

So states too should have their own correctional officers too. Whenever true federalism pokes it's nose out of the bag , they will use con ways to gag it.

Let federal offenders being federal facilities and let state offenders Benin state facilities manged by states. Give them autonomy to man their states.

No, they don't just wake up, sit and stare, idling away. Some are used for manual labour being supervised by the prison warden, some into farming and many others into skill acquisition programs.

Remember most sentences, especially for criminal cases comes with *hard labour*?
