You would have the same success praying to a milk jug as you do praying to god -- the milk jug sometimes answers your prayer the way you want to, sometimes not and sometimes the answer is delayed. See the problem here? If things turn out the way you want them to, you say it was because you prayed. If not, it's because god knows what's best and you didn't pray for the right thing. There is a difference between a Religious and a Righteous Nation, individual, people, city, town, community etc Righteousness or living Right or Doing Righteous deeds will always and often Triumph over Wickedness, Righteousness attracts protection as well, Righteousness exalts a Nation but sin is a reproach to any person or family or nation or individual, so yes, you can have religious countries but they are not Righteous or rather you find few Righteous people in that same nation

This is all in your mind. I recall I used to feel that way about eating breakfast at one point. At another, it was about taking showers in the morning. Now, whether I don't eat breakfast or take a shower no longer matters cause I feel great no matter what.

According to Scripture, there is no such thing as a righteous Nation. Even Israel, the one nation in this world that God gave His Law to could not live up to God's standard of righteousness as a Nation so how can anyone assume any other nation can without God's choosing of it?
