May God in his mercies make a way for you. 30K is too small for a primary school teacher, I suggest you keep checking the vacancies and jobs section of nld.

Now, the car. Why does your wife not want it sold?any reason?
Whatever, you need to consider some things :
Is the car helping to cut down cost of transportation?
Is there any way you can use the car to get extra income?

You are expecting a new baby, would the car come in handy in the face of emergencies ?

'Is there any way you can use the car to get extra income?' - You stay in lagos, you have to be proactive when it comes to issues of finances.

and importantly, make sure the car does not become a drain on limited resources . . .

I feel your plight but then what do u intend doing with the proceeds after selling off your car? I personally do not like the idea of selling off properties when broke because you may end up spending all the money and still going back to square one. Look internaly and see how you can use the car to generate revenue but if you feel you must sell then you have to think of how best you will invest the money you realised so you don't end up being worse off then most importantly be very prayerful, there is nothing God cannot do. I really do not think selling The car would solve the problem. why not think Of a lasting solution to your present situation.

Try to get a cab permit at the LSDC ( unsure of local gov acronym there) , use it to augment your income by doing campus shuttle in the nearest school around you.
I once.sold 2 cars to solve an issue but mhen!, it grew bigger and i had to hustle harder before getting another back.
Sometimes, a car is not a liability but an asset. More so with a new baby. You wl need to take your wife and baby to the clinic sometimes.

Bros, if the car was given to you by your In-laws, don't sell or else you would never see the end of the matter. On the other hand, if the car was given to you by your own people then sell it and invest the money in a business.

A car becomes a liability if its not contributing in earning income, even a stationary car generates expenses. When you sell the car never use the money to "eat" or else you go back to square one. Also re-focus your energy into being self employed and job hunt should become secondary.

Remember, making it in this harsh economy is God factor and good decision making. Peace be unto you.

Now, that been said, what actually brought down your income Did you stop your private lesson after your wedding or what Did you resign from where you were working and concentrate only on private lesson? because, you are a man, i dont really understand why your income dropped after getting married, if it had been a woman now, we would have said maybe, because of pregnancy or something, but here, you are a man and you need money, i will suggest you dont relent in your better job hunt and i pray that the good Lord will provide a better job for you, you can as well be conversant with vacancy/job section of this great forum, who knows, you might be lucky to get a better job there.

Don’t sell the Car Bro. You will need it to move your Wife around or to the hospital now that she is pregnant.

I will advise you use the Car for Bolt or Uber if possible. Since the car is yours, you can make atleast 100k a month.

Sell the car brother. I am certain it's draining your resources. Also it's just a material property because when you look at it, at a point, you will need to sell the car. You can't use a car CONVINIENTLY for 6 years no matter how much you love the car.

We need to learn to sacrifice some things for the people we love. People should always come in first place over material things

if U sell your car I can bet u will spend d money on Billings n b back to square one

If the car is in good condition n it can move well, y don’t u think of using it for commercial transport in lagos?
