The title is wrong. There are many Black heads of municipal governments, in fact the mayor of America’s five biggest cities are Black. He is also not the first Nigerian mayor FIRST NIGERIAN mayor.

Yes, I just commented similar. He is definitely not the first Black mayor nor is he the first Nigerian. New York City currently has a Black mayor as does Houston and many other large cities. His accomplishment is great but let’s be truthful.

Here in Americans don’t know the difference between an Igbo, a Yoruba, a Fulani, or anything else—-and nobody cares! Nigerian is Nigerian, Chinese is Chinese, Polish is Polish. My father has been in this country almost 50 years and he always says that the only people who ever asked or cared about his tribe were other Nigerians.
