Well, ManCity as a club have only reached UCL SemiFinal once in their club history and it was when Pellegrini managed them in 2013 or so.

When Guardiola joined, the priority was to stamp their foot as a juggernaut in the EPL, then slowly become a European Super-house. This is exactly what Guardiola has done. A couple of quarterfinalists and then semi finalists last season. A finalist in 2021. Another final in 2023, this time around with more possibility to winning the whole thing.
