There’s a breaking news that a Kano High Court (of all courts) has nullified the candidature of Abia State Governor-elect, Mr Alex Otti to which some elements of dark forces are already celebrating and jubilating; erroneously so due to deep seated ignorance and illiteracy.

Let us try to examine that Judgment and how much or how long it can stand the test of time.

First things first, this kangaroo judgment will not stop the inauguration of Alex Otti, all they need to do is file an Appeal at the Appeal Court and the case is settled until he takes oath of office. If the Appeal Court agrees with the High Court (very unlikely), Alex Otti still has the option to Appeal at the Supreme Court. So in all, Alex Otti will be Governor of Abia State for at least 6 months.

With that stated, let’s now check the merits of the case.

The first thing to consider is when did Labour Party conduct their primaries in Abia State and when was the Kano case filed? Labour Party conducted their gubernatorial primaries in Abia in May, 2022. Almost one year later on 11th of May, 2023, somebody is filing a case against the primary. What this means is that the case was “Statute Barred” from the beginning having been filed outside 14 days window period for anyone aggrieved by the outcome of a primary election to seek redress in court.

The next question to ask is who filed the case? Does he have the locus or file the case or he’s just a meddlesome interloper? In the Electoral Act 2022, only a candidate in an election can challenge the outcome of the process in court. Any other being that does so is a meddlesome interloper.

The last thing that would be considered is if Kano High Court had jurisdiction to entertain the case in the first place.

If anything, this judgment will end up getting the judge who gave the ruling banned or sanctioned.

Sometimes you just can’t help but question the mental capacity of those who celebrate and rejoice in this kind of thing. They must be terribly mentally shallow.

Same Obidients who don't want Tinubu to be sworn in because the case is in court are the same people bragging that Alex will be sworn in despite the court judgement. Hypocrisy at it's peak

Please tell me where Peter Obi filed any case to stop Tinubu's inauguration? Ngige ruled for 3 years and still vacated the seat

Op the court has ruled. Your job now is to go to the appeal court and quash the judgement. That is the only thing you can do.

I laughed in 3D at OP! See him being restless. Is it today we just started reading your analysis? Shallow analysis and prediction of ANAP and Bantupage that many obidients like you did during campaign, what came out of it than handling over 3rd position to Obi? No one knows you can analyze like this because it is not Tinubu matter. Only Tinubu your analysis will tell not to observe swearing in until court judgement ends, but now; you turn to emergency political and judicial expert just because all Elupee will be affected. Didn't we tell you about stop-labouring in vain?

You better let me give you transport fare to go and tell Obi to prepare. Tell him not to pay remaining balance for all his lawyers so he can save some amount of money. You keep chasing Tinubu that doesn't utter a word to abuse you because of hatred until you enter into pit. Stop wasting your time, ELUPEE formular will work in this case, it is operation remove all LP from top to bottom. It is not me that said so, it is the court

Lol. The case was filed by a labour party ex-chairman in kano state not from an opposition. He is an aggrieved member of the party which Obi and Abure led faction refused to placate.

Always try to read the full length of court proceeding and outcome before giving your thoughts.

Secondly, a Federal highcourt anywhere in Nigeria has jurisdiction over any state in Nigeria. A FHC in river state has jurisdiction over Bornu's politics in court.

Can you respect your intelligence, if you have any?

How many days has an aggrieved party to file for redress in court after the conduct of a party primary?

By the Electoral Act 2022, does a party chairman, or an ex party chairman at that, have the locus to challenge the outcome of a primary election he did not contest in?

Lol!

You would have told your lords and saviours to allow a free and fair election let’s test my analysis.

Why did they switch off the IREV?

And why is the result on IREV for Rivers different from what INEC physically declared?

Are you not ashamed to associate with such thing?

Lol. Mr man. You are deviating.

Firstly, Haruna Ibrahim, the ex-chairman is not challenging the outcome of the primary BUT the ineligibility of the candidate 'for the election' . They are two different things.

Oshiomole can as well go back to challenge the eligibility of Obaseki to contest 2020 elections in Edo State, right?
