Okay..I have been dating my babe for a year now. She is a registered midwife has her license and already practicing but nursing was actually her choice. She didn't get the nursing form, reason why she picked the midwifery form in a nursing school. So, I will be going for my Masters this September and I want her to go with me as a dependent even her dad also want this including her but where the problem is, is that she just got an admission to a polish university to study Nursing (3 years) and the agent running the Polish admission for her has guaranteed her visa. Now, she is confused whether to follow me down to UK as dependent or she should just go for her degree over there. Her dad said he is cool with whatever decision we make and ready to also contribute if she will be going with me.

My question is this, if she goes with me, what prospect does she have over there? Are there universities she can do conversion courses to Nursing over there? Are jobs for her there as a midwife (on the condition she passes the NMC council exam there) Or she should just focus on her Poland and we hope our paths cross again....We have a decision to make quickly.

I have already told my parents I will be getting married before she now brought the issue of Poland and stuff..

Note: The dad told me he has given the agent money on somethings already but he can forgo that if I am really ready to marry her and go with her but yet to pay school fees. Likewise, she is has an active admission in Ukraine but didn't go there because of the war that broke out last year reason why the agent searched for this Poland for her. She isn't confused. Tell her to go to her Poland. I am advising you as someone who has experience in this sorta stuff. The greatest mistake a man can make is to let his woman make a life altering choice and she later regrets it. Last last, na sniper you go drink when the nagging and vawulence start.

This is also my point. It is not like the Visa is guaranteed. She might end up losing on both sides because agent are dubious beings that will assure you on anything. Well, the OP and his babe should just evaluate their options well.

I would advise you guys go ahead with all your plans if you’re serious with each other.

Get married and include her in your application as your dependent.

She should also continue with her Poland visa runs. If she’s granted she can go ahead for nursing there while you go to uk for your program. Poland is about 3hrs by flight from uk, you guys can be shuttling while doing your programs.

If Poland doesn’t grant her visa, she follows you to uk and seeks other options to pursue nursing there.

If you both have enough cash to fund both of your programs in the uk, she can go to uk with you to study nursing and let go of Poland.

If not she shd school in UK instead.
Marry her, let her do her nursing in UK.
If that's not doable.
Let her continue with the Poland dream. You Marry her . She can go to UK with you pending when Poland works and she can spend summer holiday in UK and get work to support you.

Why does she not apply for a skilled UK visa, been a midwife, her profession is on the list of skills required......

Whilst she is gainfully employed, you can pursue your MSc......

You can become her dependent, after a few years, apply for her ILR .......

Why would she want to leave midwifery for nursing? Nursing Is more stressful, but the atmosphere in midwifery is much calmer.


In the UK they even earn more. She can come to the UK and do a conversion course. I'm sure that is possible. The UK welcomes professionals.

Why go to Poland and do 3 years again?

Why not you pay her brideprice before traveling to uk, and allow nature complete the rest

Master studies is not more than two years, and she is only going for three years course.

You can still bring her to uk after her studies...

Three years is not too much to compromised..

You guys can pursue both UK and Poland at the same period.
She will be your dependant in the UK and you will be her dependant in Poland.You guys can visit each other while studying and compare notes to determine the best country to raise your family in respect to immigration rules.

the polish language barrier might be a problem for her at the university

When she grads n eventually gets a job.. you'll both decide if it's you who will move to Poland n join her there....

Hope you won't complain that she is beating you and you can't Beat her back so you won't go to jail. Think of this as well while planing for ur japa.

If this response is not too late, I think you should just proceed for your Masters degree in the UK with she goes along with you as a dependent.

Being a registered Midwife already in Nigeria, she can commence the UK NMC process to becoming registered in the UK while working to support you over there. Currently, Midwives seem to have better opportunities of securing visa sponsorship jobs. This would be especially easy as you would both be in the UK already.

You can both determine much later if she still wants to convert back to Nursing. I don't think she needs to spend much money on this at the moment. From information available and testimonies of people on YouTube, she can even write NCLEX Nursing, and if she passes, she can practice as a registered Nurse in the US, even with her current RM diploma!
