Yea, I dey sensitise people wey wan invest #7.5 million. Instead they should go for cars like this, so that they can recoup their investment on time.

I just hope they will not Increase the year again after a few years when people have invested in these cars.

Boss, most of my earnings are from Uber which is almost same for both drivers and dispatchers. Uber sets their prices, I only set prices when I'm working offline which pays more actually. I'm just wondering if Uber drive is really this bad and I should stop the thought of investing in it.
This is my Uber dashboard for this week.

Uber driving is not really bad, in my opinion.

But if you invest 670k and make 60k a week, isn’t it better than investing 3 million and making the same 60k a week?

I understand the need to step up, but what you seem to have has a better ROI than Uber.

This is just my opinion, boss

These 2 cars are now accepted on Bolt

The current value of these cars are #2.5 million naira each In tokunbo market, Naija used value is #1.5 million, if you are lucky, #1 million/800k
No wonder the demand for this tiny light suddenly went up.

A tokunbo was sold last week for 2.8m... I was like! What??!!

Sorry for just badging into this conversation especially one that could be more of bygone, I'm just getting to see this and it got me wondering that I can't help it.
I bought my bike for #670k and I make a minimum of 60k working for four days as a dispatch rider weekly. An average of 40k on Uber plus other offline jobs (max a week has been four days, I perhaps could make more if I work more days).
If my #670K bike could fetch this much, what's stopping a car that costs more from making much more?
I made my #670k capital back in the space of 3 months. Please this concern begs for answers.
I've been planning on saving to buy a car to start Uber full time..
In a nutshell, you have just summarised why the Uber driving business is a deadbeat. Enormous amount of investment with low returns. It's an open secret that dispatch riders in Lagos make much more than Uber drivers, not to mention Korope and Kike drivers. It's a fact my brother. Don't let the humengous nature of the business deceive you and Uber driver's dashboard that does not translate to raw cash.

Stick to your course , get another bike and expand. Forget about buying a car except for your personal use.

By the time.you spend 3 hour completing a trip.of 3k with Car Uber driving your eye go clear, by then you'd appreciate your earning with with your bike with no traffic.

Only thing is, the bike is.mote risky when compared to driving a car. Just be careful I'm your driving bro, stay glue to your dispatch business.

A Corolla now cost a minimum of 3.6m for a toks.
That's about 5 bikes in your fleet. With proper management... I think you're better of than the Uber car.

Not sure about that. It would not surprise me if the Lagos State Government grants LAGRIDE such privileges in the future... Trust me the economic model of Lagride is not sustainable in the Long Run....

Guinea fowl egg is likely the most nutritious . The day a passenger was trying so hard to crack a Guinea fowl egg inside my corolla, I was just hoping she would not damage the dashboard.

I dont foresee such in the nearest future The economy is really struggling to stay afloat... More passengers are using ehailing.I think car segmentation is the feasible option which is implemented by uber, I dont know if bolt corporate is still operational?.

I do agree with you that the bike thing is definitely more profitable but remember he won't make the same money giving out the bikes as he's making riding himself.

By the way, this new pencil light thing is really great. He no longer has to spend 3.6m getting a corolla. And if demand for pencil light goes up, people will still tend to avoid baby boy due to bad rep.

Who go enter that pencil light?

Inside this Lagos, wey those Lekki girls would either cancel when they see your car, or outrightly give you 1 star? grin

Even to charter local cabs, people avoid Pencil lights. grin

However, he will still get his own customers. The ocean is big for many fishes. Those who enter that 03-05 civic will enter pencil light

I personally think that the pencil light looks better than the civic cheesy

I have never run into that civic when i book a ride. The probability is low. If it is not a corolla, it ends up as a Camry or Matrix

Anyways, it will still have its customers.

Do you give a fvck? Even if they die off tomorrow self I don't even care... I'll only feel for those drivers that will be laid off and at the same time be happy for them because they must have been liberated from years of slavery driving a branded car around servicing car loan for 5 to 6 yrs.

Far far better in all ramifications, stronger, more durable, and better speed and can last a life time. That pencil light is even stronger than than the Corolla and big daddy. It's 2nd hand value self is 2nd to non..

But like izzou said, it will only be for distress and night riders... Make I shall reach where I dey go... Shikina!

Izzou has given you the summary.. ROI on Uber/Bolt is very poor either as a partner driver or investor. It sucks. How can Keke riders be paying up keke in a year ? and you can't do same with a corrolla.
Ehailing companies with stupid fares.. #600 for air-conditioned taxis. Keke won't even look at you twice for #600 charter.

Last year . Bajaj okada was 400k. Delivery is 9k weekly, or 40k monthly based on your rental agreement. In a year, you would've recouped your initial investment.
You can't try that with Uber..

I'm glad you said you make 60k just working 4 days. To make that same 60k on Bolt you need to do over 100k gross ,that will take you 4-5 days ,working long hours.

100k gross scenario
Bolt commission- 25k

Fuel - 20k

Cash balance- 55k.

You can see the figures are not really impressive.

That's why investors no longer put up cars in the business and Bolt is luring owners of 98 -2002 cars to sign up.

A trip from mainland to island will fetch much more money for a dispatcher, and he's probably going to finish the trip faster.

And another interesting thing is you can have a couple of deliveries at once but a driver on Uber can only take a rider at a time, so with this I hope I have been able to convince and not confused you that it's possible a dispatcher make more than Uber driver.

By the way do you know korokpe and danfo buses deliver more to the owner when compared to what Uber/bolt Guys deliver.

Wait is it that this e hailing is no longer lucrative? This your estimate for bolt is correct.

OralB please how much commission will you pay on 100k and how much fuel will you use to gross 100k on bike and how much is your net profit at the end?

Imagine someone inside agbado complaining am slow. I just marked that area that day.

Agbado has terrible road thanks to the docility of ogun state successive governments. It is worse during raining season bc of the muddy roads. 08067937074 I am still available to drive on bolt with 30k remittance weekly and I reside around Ojodu Berger axis.
