But instead of getting to work, the Police PRO engaged ordinary citizen in meaningless bickering back and forth. He even have the guts to say he sent volunteers. In those countries you mentioned, before citizens will issue their report, police would have issued theirs to prevent people speculating. And they don't "cherry pick" on information. Whether it's 40 or 1, Benjamin should be informed it's the job of the police to fight ALL crimes and criminality not argue with journalists. The Nigerian Police is becoming too political and its spokesmen too antagonistic. For all you know, Rufai's source might have exaggerated. It doesn't take away the fact that a crime was committed and someone needs to be apprehended. That should be Benjamin's focus not this Internet roforofo. |
