One of the two suicide bomber deployed by iswap terrorist against the MNJTF around lake Chad area... The suicide bomber scored a hit. the way iswap is strapping young boys to suicide vehicles is cowardly, the use of grown men in suicide bombing has disappeared from the group
Just read that NNS Aradu has been aproved for a 24 months refit by the FG. Does that make any sense giving that we could get a couple of better ships for the price of refitting that old lady

For me I don't like the idea, why don't we get an affordablr frigate from Russia ?

Nigeria is also getting a new Frigate from the same shipyard refurbishing Aradu.
Aradu refurbishment includes a system upgrade.

The worst news I've ever received from this thread. It's either the higher authorities of the Navy are trying to circumvent money for their personal interests or they are just ignorant of the modern naval world.

Not even sure if we need a frigate because our main naval challenges are pirates and oil thieves. You don't need a 4,000 ton ship to fight such threats.

I actually thought it was about to be scrapped or in the process of being scrapped. And trust me, the high authorities of the navy are anything but ignorant

As part of events planned for the Nigerian Navy presidential fleet review, several new platforms will be inducted into service including this new AW109SP GrandNew (NN 410).
Any particular reason why the navy seems obsessed with this particular brand of helicopter? Is it exceptionally easy to fly and maintain or what? I'm just curious.

#Sudan the rapid support forces have shot down a mig fighter jet over Khartoum, one of the two ejected pilots was captured alive.... The conflict is looking to be a stalemate with both side making little or no gain, the RSF controls more than 80% of the capital

The Rapid support force started has a paramilitary but has now metamorphosed to an armed militia/gaurilla.

Don’t forget they once fought side by side by the Sudan Army, I hope other military learn from this conflict and the politics therein

NAF ordnance technicians transport, load and install a M904 fuze/MK-81 bomb onto the A-29 Super Tucano before an airstrike.
its better we learn to produce this bombs and ammunitions ourselves in case quarrel starts with this foreighn countries....not that we end up with modern maschines that have no ammunitions like the alpha jets years ago....

we have to learn to maintain and produce for this new maschines....

dont rely on nobody....
