If you are expecting ordinary Nigerians to benefit from this, I have a second Niger Bridge to sell to you.

Look back at how ‘fair’ the price of Dangote Cement is to see how he is going to merciless deal with Nigeria & Nigerians now that he have monopoly in this section of the Nigeria Oil sector.

Everyone will benefit because it will reduce dollar demand among importers who bring in refined PMS. Nobody will be using USD to buy refined PMS and its ilk anymore.

When the demand for dollars reduce, its exchange rate against the Naira will tank naturally. Afterwards, the complaints among traders in the market that their goods are costly because dollar is high will naturally die. Now, this is a win for everyone.

Nigeria practically built that refinary for dangote. Fact. How? I understand forex had been provided for the facility at even less than cbn rate. Part of the reason you find it hard to get pta, to even make payments with your regular bank card online for your Netflix, YouTube, aliexpress if because practically all the forex available was going to dangote.
Well, what the Emefiele is basically saying is that Nigerians must now rip the benefits of their sacrifice in the refinary.
If you do not know you sacrificed for dangote refinary, now you know.

PMS traders don’t go to the aboki on the street to exchange their dollars, it is that same CBN that give then dollars at the official rate, how would this help the common man? Or are you saying CBN or commercial bank will start selling dollars at the official rate to all Tom, Dick & Harry?

Nigeria external debt profile is the major contributor of the hike in dollar, by next year the amount to service Nigeria debt with current projections would be equal to revenue generated.

Because of our debts and unsustainable economic projects, businesses and people are afraid to store their values and wealth in Naira, because they can lose significant value overnight.

Dangote is not a fool, he is not going to be storing his values and wealth in Naira either.

Look to how Dangote have ran Dangote Cement that have impoverished Nigerians for clues on how he will run his refinery. His goal is not to do charity work in Nigeria, it is to make money.

A refinery that will importing crude oil to shore up it's production capacity.Nigeria crude production has dropped drastically due to oil theft, vandalism and spillage.The production sharing agreement NNPC had with the oil major is not enough to supply Dangote.

So, if Dangote still imports crude with the scarce forex available, how will the price of petrol going to drop.
