She's not based in Nigeria. She's in UK so.
When she was in Nigeria, liners might not be common. It's probably when she went abroad that she got to know what panty liners are.

Needless to say that she still holds the notion that liners aren't common in Nigeria.
Which is actually true. I've never heard of liners in my life. I do buy pads for my baby sister.. My mum is pretty open about this stuff, and this is the very first time, in my life, I'm hearing of liners. Very very first time...

Maybe its sold as pads in the country too. Now, I have to google what doesn't even concern me. grin grin grin

Quite honestly…

Nope. But even if I have sincerely I wouldn’t have noticed it was different from the normal pad ladies use. I would have just glimpsed by thinking it was pad.

Thanks for the explanation.

I think I learned something new today!

I understand. Most Guys hardly pay attention to these things, most women (like myself) hardly find it necessary to teach opposite genders these things grin cheesy

They are not sold as pads. They are entirely different from pads. The truth is that they are not commonly used. The percentage of Nigerian women that can splurge extra on pantyliners every month are not enough to make the average man know it.

I wonder why most of you cringe at things needed to care for the Veejay you LOVE so much. The other day it was pads argument in a Sunday school class. When men were asked if you they can buy sanitary for their wives. Lol come and see crazy comments from Men. grin grin I was just laughing. So, Sharon was right then. Nigerian women, or women around this part of the world, In general, are not as aware of liners as their western counterparts.

I even had to go and check the one my sister used a while ago... Looks padish to me. Can't find the wrapper, when I go out later I would ask the seller. They are pretty damn expensive so, I want to know!!! grin grin grin grin

On a side note, I like the choice of words used here! Would like to see works you've done other than write-ups on nairaland. Not practicing to become a politician, are you? cheesy cheesy cheesy..

They are paddish, but the difference in size cannot be missed. Panty liners are almost as thin as papers. If you see a pantyliner or encounter one on your woman, you would be curious and you would know. On sight it is tiny and can easily be squeezed into a ball!!

The issue I have noticed with Nigerians is that we demonise the female body or women talking about their bodies. This has led to widespread ignorance amongst females. Any woman that knows her body or female things is assumed to be sexually wild. So women keep shut and feign ignorance on the simplest of female biology. How then would the younger ones know these things?

Women are the worse…

When it comes to knowing men stuff o.

Besides men don’t really have much stuff like women.

Just ensure you were some clean underwear.
(No pads, tampons, ‘partylander’, pantyhose or make up to worry about)

Not to talk about the menstrual period stuff and all the hygiene issues and care that comes with it.

Most guys don’t have time for all the ‘details’ involved.

But you are right guys need to pay more attention.

But I have no problem getting pads or panties for my woman though.

I think it’s quite an intimate thing to do.

But I still think why worry yourself… when you were born free?

I prefer my bliss Abeg!
grin

Lol you and I know you made a fallacy which was corrected. It won't take anything from you to acknowledge this error and move on. The deflection and cajole ( to Poco) tactics you are using is not necessary. It is putting you off in a bad light.

For excessive discharge ( again you contradict ) any sensible lady who is conscious of her health would get a liner or any alternative aside tissue which is totally unhygienic and risky.

It's not a cultural thing either, more economical. Like I typed earlier, some people can't afford it, why some struggle to get. But that we don't know or understand liners? Omoooh that one go far o grin grin cheesy grin
What fallacy ? Exactly. Ladies that are conscious. I wouldn't say most Nigerian women are conscious and this also applies to Nigerians at large before anybody starts.

Lmao.

And interestingly, it was a sub/shade to Poco and Coco in another comment of hers I was referring to up there.

You can imagine my shock then, and my laughter now, seeing this...what...kissing up she's tryna do? grin

Ko te pa mo.

She will be alright.
Can you show me where I have ever shaded Poco and coco?

I have NEVER had an issue with any of the above posters.

Again, you're a moroń.

😊
"You can not win who you don't know" . The truth is when you learn about the other person it strengthen bonds. It's always pleasing to know that someone you like is interested enough to know little things about you. Contrary to Nigerians view being romantic goes beyond buying chicken republic cheesy . It's doing little things the other person is not expecting, showing more interest in the other person's life. Do you know how much your woman would love it if you get her something she doesn't know she needs ? A woman will interpret that simple gesture in 5 different ways. Sadly with Nigerians our relationship is one way traffic, nothing new. Rinse and wear, routine. wink . Companionship self no dey.

Lol grin cheesy So you stole lines from movies to hook ladies. Them suppose sue you o grin .
Being romantic is work and what you did shows interest and attention. It goes beyond attraction which is one of the key factors to a flourishing relationship. You did your homework truly. grin
You are right, there are ways you give compliments that you will never miss.

It takes true commitment to be attentive and romantic but how many people are ready for that?

This assertion is ridiculous. Nigerian women do not know/understand what panty liners is?

Really?

The ones I have or have seen with ladies must be rocks then or maybe I'm not a Nigerian.
Thought I was the only one shocked.🥱

We Nigerian ladies must be really local? 🤧

Even claiming it’s normal for ladies to have copious vaginal discharges to necessitate having to use tissues or “panti laina”… 🤣

What fallacy ? Exactly. Ladies that are conscious. I wouldn't say most Nigerian women are conscious and this also applies to Nigerians at large before anybody starts.
The fallacy you made on the first page that Most Nigerian Women do not KNOW/UNDERSTAND what panty liner is. It is false! They know and understand but they mostly don't use because of economic factor.
Not Knowing or understanding something is different from not using it because of cost.

If you check through, I have emphasized this over and over where I disagree with your post.

Normal discharge
Quite interesting…

I thought the only “normal” discharge should be the monthly visitor and secretion pre sex or inter course related.

Now I see I am still a learner when it comes to the anatomy of a woman.

Let me look for my Ababio textbook. I need to study more!
